Anyone know if that store by the movies and Wacamaw(sp?) is still there, I think it's on Kingston Pike. I am going to visit family next month and always go there at least once. I don't know the name though. Any help would be appreciated. :goodvibes

Yep the store is still there. I stopped by in April. Sandy is looking for a buyer, but that is recent, so her inventory should be plenty. The store is called Scrapbooks and More and I so miss it since I had to move away.

However I recently found out about another one in Knoxville. It looks like to be a good one. It is called Scrappin in The City. Here is the website:
www.scrappininthecity.com. Sorry for no direct link; on phone.

I look forward to visiting that one as well. About 10 years ago I can remember thet had 3 scrap stores. They do have a Hobby Lobby now.

I didn't know about Scrappin in the City, and hello fuzzy, it's about 3 minutes from DH's work!!! Looks like DS & I are going to have to go "visit" him (read that as "drop DS off so mommy can scrap-shop")!! Thanks for the link, Shawn!!

THanks so much I will definitely be heading there to both stores. My mom's whole family lives in Lenoir City and Farrugut(sp?)- she grew up there, where did you live down there?

Should I email DH and tell him that he has a new place to shop??? LOL

:thumbsup2 SIOH. Let me know what it is like.

nikkitstevej- I was born and raised in Oak Ridge. Graduated from UTK, moved to NC, moved back to Oak Ridge (swore I would never live in NC again), got married and guess what.... live in NC. I would move back in a heartbeat.

Oh OK- I know exactly where that is. When we were younger- me, my mom and sister would go down there for the whole summer and stay- we loved it. I still try to go down every few years to see everyone. My mom has 7 sisters, and I have about 30 cousins- so it's like coming home, even though I was born and bred in Baltimore, Md. :thumbsup2

I LOVE Scrapbooks & More and the people who work there are great. Scrappin in the City is also very nice but not in a good part of town. They moved the store into a house and it is really cute. Both stores sell different item. We rarely go to Scrappin in the City since I live very close to Scrapbooks and More and Joanns. I work across the street from AC Moore and drive by Micheals and Hobby Lobby on my way to my moms. Scrappin in the City is all the way across town.

My daughter graduated from UTK and few weeks ago and we went to both stores. I diddn't care much for Scrapping in the City. it was a cute place but they didn't carry much of the brands I like (no Basic Grey). Their stuff was kinda foofoo for me (flowery and vintagey).

I did like the other store though and it was right near our hotel. I did find quite a few things there that I liked and they had a nice selection and super nice people working there.

The more I hear the more I think I will make a trip to just Scrapbooks and More- I remember it having lots of stuff I liked. Plus we are going to Dollywood and Splash Country- so they might have some stuff from there. :thumbsup2

While you're in Pigeon Forge, check out the Scrapbook Store and its Outlet at Governor's Crossing outlet mall (p.s. see you at SDV in WDW -- and I'm considering making it a goal to get Steve to smile for a photo -- is he coming to SDV?).

No- he doesn't smile too often. The scrapbook store is closing!!! They had 20% off:sad2: everything yesterday.

The Pigeon forge one? Or Scrapbooks & More? I'm going to have to make a run by there!!

Scrapbooks and More is closing. Sandra tried to sell it, but could not find a buyer. She only looked for maybe a month if that. The store is consuming too much time away from her family. This is why she is selling. Very sad. I remember when they first opened.

We are very very sad about this. We have been shopping with them the whole 10 years they were open. They are auctioning of all the fixtures this weekend.:guilty:
