I'm heading to Disney in 12 days for a 2-week trip. I've been there a few times before, and I was recently working on my scrapbook from my previous trip (trying to get it done before I leave on our new one!) and realized that I don't think I want to do a 'traditional' scrapbook this time around. Last time, I really focused on my photography, and I got a lot of great scenic shots, etc. But...I don't want to keep taking pictures of the same things, over and over.
I thought...it would be fun to do something totally different. I saw this thread:

and thought...I am going to really watch for the details in the parks, and the hotels. I want to watch for the attention paid to each attraction, and all the little things I probably go right by, and take photos of those things. Then, I'm going to alter some tins when I get home, and make 6 x 6 layouts and use the pictures of the details. Then, I'll put the info and journaling on the back side, so the kids can look at the front and try to figure out what it is, and where it's from, and store the layouts in the tins.
While I enjoy looking at my big 12 x 12 scrapbooks from my trips, after so many to Disney, I wanted to try something to keep it 'fresh.' I'm hoping to slow down and really look at the park with a different perspective.
Besides, only 2 of my 5 kids can come with me on this trip
(college, sports, dance show) so maybe having this photo project will help keep me upbeat, and hopefully they'll have fun looking at the pictures too.
What do you think? Any ideas? Suggestions?
