Background - we moved into our house almost 8 years ago and at that time we painted my craft/scraproom yellow. Now, fast forward to 2011....

My DH has finished putting wood floor in the room and is now time to paint. I don't want yellow again but I'm just stumped on what color to pick. I am changing some of the photo boxes into black instead of a miss-mash of colors.

So here it is - if you had a preference, what color would you have on the walls of your scrap room?????

TIA :goodvibes for any and all opinions!

I like the idea posted above. I like the color "Mickey's Shadow" which is the Disney brand paint. It is a cross between a gray and a blue.

mine is called Autumn Wind from Lowes, it's a latte color. I also have oak hardwood floors and an antique white trim.

How many windows do you have and how is the lighting in the room??

I have a very light blue/gray color in my room.. I love it.. as soon as I find some time I want to get some gray vinyl and some blue and put Mickey heads around the border...

Three of the walls in my room are ultra white with one accent wall in a Tiffany blue color (actually called Sea Kiss)

I thought the blue would have been too much if I used on all of the walls but in hindsight I think I would have liked it that way since all of my furniture is white.

Beautiful room! Thanks for sharing.................P

Ohhhh... I knew I had come to the right place to ask....thanks for all the color choices....I'm going to go look at them later this afternoon.

Maureen - love your room, where did you get your curtain? AND the chandellier - I would love to get one but I need to have the ceiling fan that is in the room since the room faces west, so I get ALL the afternoon sun.

I have two windows in my room - so I'm thinking of just keeping the blinds and getting some valances.

I'll try and post photos of what it looks like now later tonight!

Oh, LOVE how you can reach everything just by turning your chair! The color is nice, too.

Thanks, everyone.

The curtains are from Walmart of all places! I bought probably four different sets from Bed, Bath & Beyond, Lowes and Target and these matched the best.

The chandelier and all of the furniture is from Ikea.

The room was fun to do and I was a little worried about me getting enough use from it but I ended up using it several nights a week.

My scraproom is painted China Doll by Sherwin Williams. It is a light beige color. I have white wooden blinds up and oak wood floors I am looking for some bright colored valences. It is a shared space with our upstairs family room.

I have found that if I paint my walls a color, then a lot of my scrapbooking tends to migrate to that color for some reason. :confused3

So I have off-white walls, blue carpet, and will be decorating with blue & sage. Furniture in a beech wood from Ikea & other items in black.
Here's my inspiration fabric.

What I really would love, is wood floors & blue walls though.

When I decorate, I find the elements or inspiration fabric I like FIRST, and wall color is the last item I pick. Wall color comes out of the fabric.

I also put pictures of all my elements in a word doc or something & look at them all together before I start buying stuff. It helps keep my on track. Otherwise, I end up with too many styles & colors going on. LOL

My room is a deep red with white trim and black furniture, dark wood floors. I got my husband's study when our eldest moved out for college and he took her room upstairs. The red was already there, and after repainting her room, we were too tired to paint my new space, too. I would have also chosen a light blue, but I still wanted the black furniture and white trim. Now I like the red though...I certainly like it enough to not repaint!:thumbsup2
