sooooooooooo Cam comes home with a note saying " what can I count on you to bring for our international potluck ON FRIDAY"

well guess what... its thursday today!!! grrr Cam has had this in his pocket for 3 days!

Anyway, Im in need of a recipe from one of these countries ( for our Heritage part) and NO HAGGIS ;) LOL

Any ideas?
It has to be quick, easy and portable AND something a group of 8 year old will eat.

Sheesh I have a hard enough finding American food that fits that description ;)

An easy German food to make is potato pancakes. Take along sour cream and apple sauce to top them with...very yummy!

Potato Pancakes

How about bannocks or aberdeen rolls? (From Scotland) American kids would probably like those.

When I was in germany and france, they loved danish and tarts. Making little tarts would be really easy.

Swedish cookies-Spritz, although Pastor from church who is German insists that these are too! Easy to make and my kids love them. Good luck.

swedish meatballs? german potato salad? scottish shortbread (just make thick sugar cookies)?

Well, my absolute favorite thing when I lived in Germany was Gummi Baren (Gummy Bears). Another favorite thing is a noodle called Spaetzle. Or get some good German chocolate. What kid can resist that.

I second the spaetzle idea. Our kids love it with cheese!!!

How about french fries with mayo. That's the first time I ever saw that.

Thanks gang, I had a meeting tonight so I went with the gingersnaps! :)

I know I know bad mommy. Ill take nine lashes with a wet noodle :)
