Scottish dog names

Oh, or what about Sandy ( short for Alexander), Arran ( after the island on the west coast), Brodick, Corrie, Machrie, Shiskine ( all villages on Arran), Calley (short for Caledonia), Mac, Barra (another island), Harris ( another island), Lewis ( another island and popular boys name), Gordon, Lawder, Lomond or Lachie ( short for Lachlan...make sure you pronounce the ch properly in the back of your throat and not as a 'k')

We got our Gordon Setter!!! We got him May 13 and he is the sweetest, cutest little fellow. We named him Macduff. Thank you for all the suggestions. We decided on Macduff because 1) it's Scottish 2) it means son of the dark warrior and he is obviously a dark dog 3) Macduff was the king's loyal follower in "Macbeth" and we thought that meant a loyal dog!

Do you see that little mountain picture at the top of the posting window under the size/color boxes. You need to click on that and past the URL address there. If you are posting off a photo hosting site copy they should have an address you can copy and paste, if not, right click on the photo, select properties and there will be an address there, copy the address completly and past in the IMG box that will pop up when you click the mountain photo thing up there.

BTW, I love the name!
