Scott & Vinny: 13 days of Magic..UPDATED *NEW* 3/4 (The End)

Hate rude people...especially rude teenagers:furious:

LOVE the Pooh Meet & Greet in AK. It is one of Jimmy's favs.

Even with the "honey breaks" there is never a long wait!

What cute pictures with Pooh & the gang!!

Of course, Tigger was the most "animated"!! :rotfl: Gotta love Tigger!!

I love ride pictures from Dinosaur. Inevitably there is always a face or two that totally crack me up. That little boy looks like he's in shock and the other kid can't even open his eyes. :lmao:

I love that Tigger is really showing the love to you guys. Great character pictures!

I love that pic of Vinny with Tigger. It was nice down there waiting and I guess I am the only one with the shot the photographer took of my chest, or the Grumpy on my shirt. I'm not sure which although I think he did keep calling me Grumpy. :lmao: I may have to post it in my TR as I am slowly catching up to you.
They don't make you wait too long for the characters and there are fans. :rotfl2:
Um no chest shots here.
:thumbsup2

Photopass pics are good-especially the ones with Tigger!:tigger:
I was pleased with them. :)

Me too.
There really isn't which is why I like going there for them.

Awww, the Photopass pictures are so good! I especially like the ones with Tigger.

Great pictures with the Winnie the Pooh characters!! :goodvibes
Thanks.

They really are funny to see the faces.
Thanks.

Tigger is my favorite! Your tr reminds me we don't do a lot of time at ak...or DHS...I guess since we always do summer and go back to swimming mid day

We go back everyday and swim. Or nap. :rotfl2: I prefer the latter one. :rotfl2:

After our time with pooh and Friends we decided it was time to visit some bugs. This is where I saw characters from “Up!’ and decided we would go back but unfortunately that never happened. :O(
Time for a walk through the queue.

I noticed the netting.
disneyoct2012249.jpg

I do not recall it before so thinking it went up after the branch fell.
disneyoct2012250.jpg

I just love the carvings.

disneyoct2012252.jpg

disneyoct2012253.jpg

One day I would love to spend some time just taking pics of the carvings. Then we got inside. Lorrie had her chair so we went to the first door when you enter. We passed some time.
disneyoct2012254.jpg

disneyoct2012255.jpg

We sat in the back and I liked the seats being I had no stranger next to me. Here is the screen.
disneyoct2012256.jpg

I love this show. I love the smell (yes the stink bug, it makes me laugh) and the different things that happen. There was a lady next to us on the other side of the aisle who was screaming. It was really quite funny. Anyway the show was great but I did not get poked and Kristel said neither did she.

Once the show was over we decided to head back to the resort for a swim before our dinner that night. I gave Kristel or Lorrie the photopass card being they were going on Everest.

This pic was taken at 2:46pm.
disneyoct2012258.jpg

Going to the bus stop.
disneyoct2012259.jpg

Home sweet home.
disneyoct2012260.jpg

I have never eaten in this one but it is huge.
disneyoct2012261.jpg

Of course we had to stop here.
disneyoct2012262.jpg

On our way now.
disneyoct2012263.jpg

That pic was taken at 3:02. Then we got back to the resort and went and swam for a little while.

Up next,

Dinner at a new place for us

Oh, I'd take the nap too ::yes::

The Mickey Ds..is that kinda by AllStars..if yes, we've eaten there...ages ago. Before we knew to just go offsite

I love ITTBAB! It's my second favorite 3D show (Philharmagic being a solid first). I wouldn't have been disappointed by not being poked, I always sit up so it can't get me! I don't like it, but I love to hear everyone else's reactions :lmao:

That McDonald's is very familiar to me! We eat there often, usually when we're staying at the All Stars, which is close by. Or is it Pop? I can't remember now. It's been too long since I've been :sad1:

Seeing the bugs was nice especially since I missed the whole show in august. Then again seeing the whole show made me glad I missed it all in august. Mikey6 would have yelled louder than that lady did.

I know that McDonalds well. We always stay at ASMo when I go with the kids. The 1st trip they stayed on site the kids were all tired of me and the food court, I went to DTD with my daughter and everyone else stayed at the room. They decided that they weren't going to eat there one more time and walked to the McD's which was only open for drive through. Then they tried to order that way and couldn't. Every time we go down to Disney and see the McD's I am reminded of how I made them starve that night.

I really am not sure what it is near. :(

I love Philharmagic. The apple pie smell is my fave.
I do sometimes sit up and soemtimes I don't. Guess it goes by my mood. :rotfl:
I have never been so I have no idea. We just pass it a lot on the bus. :rotfl2:

That lady cracked me up.
:rotfl2: bad person you were. No walk ups at the drive up window, insurance issues. They should put in a walk up window in most of them and they would make even more money.

We swam and then showered and then got ready for dinner. Our choice tonight is a first for us but first we have to get there.
I think a boat will do.
disneyoct2012265.jpg

disneyoct2012266.jpg

Relaxing on the waters.
disneyoct2012269.jpg

We switched boats at DTD and left our destination. Of course I took pics along the way.
disneyoct2012272.jpg

We are getting closer.
disneyoct2012274.jpg

disneyoct2012276.jpg

I love the lighthouse.
disneyoct2012278.jpg

So we were eating at Olivia’s for the first time. Let us enter.
disneyoct2012280.jpg

Took pic while waiting to check in.
disneyoct2012281.jpg

The wait was nothing really and then we were seated. We did show up 40 minutes early but they said it was fine. They asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside but we chose inside. Now let’s see what we ate. Looking around.

That waiter seemed to know everyone.
disneyoct2012284.jpg

Scott:
Drink - Sultry Seahorse - Amaretto, Créme de Banana, pineapple juice, orange juice, and a float of Cherry Brandy $8.50
Here is the photo of it. It was really good.
disneyoct2012283.jpg

App: Caesar Salad - whole dressed leaves with croutons and a grilled lemon for squeezing $6.49
Ent: Shrimp and Grits - Sauteed Shrimp with Vegetables, Tasso Ham, and fresh Herbs in a rich sauce, served over Olivia's Famous Grits $20.99
disneyoct2012286.jpg

Vinny:
Drink: Red wine
App: Mozzarella and Tomato Salad- with mixed greens and balsamic syrup $7.99
Ent: Olivia's Shrimp Pasta Creation - Tomatoes and white beans tossed in a light garlic-cream sauce and topped with fresh herbs $19.99
disneyoct2012285.jpg

Neither of us had dessert.

I really enjoyed mine. The salad was really good and the drink was delicious. I was hesitant to try the grits but I went with it and so glad I did as it was a really good combination.
Vinny not so much. He said he thought it was terrible. Same ole, same ole. He says he expects more form Disney but I told him the DDP has gotten rid of the good food and just deal with what you get. Sorry but it is my feeling.

Total = $83.29 ($12.59 off for food & $3.55 off for drinks)

I would definitely go back.

I think I will stop here.

Up next,

We meet up at DTD.

That drink looks really good but I am swearing off alcohol for awhile. The shrimp and grits sounds good too.

I agree about the DP. I think Disney makes pretty much the same thing in all of the TS restaurants because you get people on the DP eating there and personally I think many of them want the same thing everywhere. No adventuresome palates. My issue is that when you pay for it OOP you have to order the most expensive things on the menu to make it worthwhile monetarily. I ate way more steak than I wanted to for that reason. I told Jim our next trip I want to just skip the DP so I can try different meals that I might enjoy more.

Sultry Seahorse looks and sounds delicious.

(precious internet time while generator running - still no power here).

Wait? You didn't get poked at ITTBAB? How did that happen? :rotfl2:

I tried to take pictures around the tree during my last trip but it was like areas were roped off and I ended up at the exit for Bugs life. Bummer. I like the pics you got.

I have read many good things about Olivia's and I am thinking of trying it this summer. The shrimp and grits sounds yummy. Sorry Vinny didn't love his. That's a bummer.

:lmao: Still thinking of the Bahama Mama? The meal was really good, I was surprised.
sounds like a good idea. I do find you try other things if you're not on the plan.

It was.
I hope you all make out fine in this storm tonight. I cannot get over people still have no power.

I do not know? :lmao:
That would be scary to end up there when the show ends.
I really enjoyed it. I think if he puts it out of his head it is not 5 star then he would.

Which carving is your favorite Scott?

We've never eaten at Olivia's. The food looks delicious, and the drink. I'd happily take it right now. :thumbsup2
