Scott & Vinny: 13 days of Magic..UPDATED *NEW* 3/4 (The End)

I think you were a little late for rope drop. :lmao: That CM at the bus stop sounds nasty. We had a really great one at our stop every morning. He was very nice and would chat for a bit. Always called dispatch and got me a bus if the one that came was already full.

SSR does look big. It was hard to get a real feel of how big the night we had dinner there.

Wait til you read about my encounter with the birds when I get to it. Vinny will appreciate my reaction.

We had a very entertaining wait while you rode the safari. I am hoping to get caught up to you over the weekend.

Caught up again!

Hi Lorrie and Kristal :wave2: You both look great!

Turf Club sounds nice and relaxing!

Crowds don't seem too bad.

WOW.....I am really LATE!!!!!! :sad2: I need to catch up! :goodvibes
Welcome and it is about time. :rotfl2: just kidding. Glad you found it.

OK, I'm back and caught up Scott!!! We just got our power restored last night!! Hope you and Vinny did OK up in the city. Bayonne was still in the dark, and I'm working tonight...hope the generators are working!
Glad you got power. We did good. No power loss or anything. That was some storm.

Just a little. :lmao: I asked them to hold off till I got there but they wouldn't. :confused3
He was with a nasty attitude. We saw him again. He spoke to Vinny but I would not acknowledge him.
It is huge.
I will be guest starring. How exciting. :cool1:

:thumbsup2
The restaurant is very nice.
Later in the week we hit crowds. Never seen it so busy in October before.

We were off our on our safari. It wasnt a bad safari but I have been on better ones. Here we go. I also discovered that I had brought my small lens with me on this trip. :O( I was so mad.

Rhino (edited because Lorrie said I was wrong)
disneyoct2012138.jpg

Cute birds.
disneyoct2012141.jpg

I love when the birds stand on the hippos
disneyoct2012144.jpg

See you while crocodile. :O)
disneyoct2012147.jpg

The waterfalls on the other side of the crocs.
disneyoct2012148.jpg

Upside down tree.
disneyoct2012150.jpg

Then we came to a halt on the tour. It seemed a mama was moving her young and they were by the vehicles so we all stopped.
disneyoct2012154.jpg

See them protecting the young ones. It was fun to watch.
disneyoct2012158.jpg

disneyoct2012159.jpg

Looking at the savannah.
disneyoct2012163.jpg

disneyoct2012164.jpg

You cannot hide back there.
disneyoct2012169.jpg

Then we came to my favorite part.
disneyoct2012171.jpg

disneyoct2012180.jpg

Love seeing the elephants. Then we moved on.
disneyoct2012182.jpg

I think this is the cheetah area. But I cannot tell.
disneyoct2012185.jpg

disneyoct2012189.jpg

Warthog. (Edited for Lorrie telling me I was wrong)
disneyoct2012191.jpg

I always fear they know I love to eat them as a burger or steak and then they will attack me through the truck.
disneyoct2012192.jpg

Rhino. Only one we saw.
disneyoct2012193.jpg

Little lazy.
disneyoct2012195.jpg

Some nice scenery.
disneyoct2012198.jpg

And then our tour was done. They were still working on the area where the zebras will be and we did actually see some on the ride way in the distance.
I have had other tours that were much better than this one but you take what you get. The tour guide was really good.

Time to stop again.

Up next,

We meet up with Lorrie & Kristel.

Scott you really need to look at the pics better. :rotfl2:

Your hungry hippo is a rhino and the little Wildebeest is a warthog. I have spent many hours looking at pics and labeling them. That was the cheetah area though.

Seriously I am use to taking pics of rhino butts. It is their favorite angle for me. The warthogs stuck out because we got stopped there for a minute as you will find out in my TR. A couple of them were fighting so I did take note of what they were.

Can't wait to find out what we did though as I am still updating the day before this. :lmao:

:lmao: oops.

I meant warthog. I did mean Hippo though. :rotfl:

It will be a surprise to you. :rotfl2:

I think your pictures are great. Now I am not sure and I am not the best at knowing what is going on in the parks but did they get rid of Wilson and the poachers storyline?

Yes they did. They are building a zebra section where the baby elephant used to be.

Once we were done I text kristel and she said they were close and by the bathrooms. I knew where they were and we walked over. It was a little congested in the area so we decided to move on. These guys were playing.
disneyoct2012199.jpg

Now I have a little rant. As we started walking a “tour group” came by or a “travel group” anyway it was all teens and one girl cut right in front of me then stopped and walked right in front of me again and then gave me a look like I was in the wrong. I said to Vinny a few nasty things I thought of her and wished I tripped her. Rant over. I know teens are rude but really rude and no manners make me very angry. Sorry about that. I can still remember her and my blood boils.

Anyway let’s go onto more happier things and what is not happy about seeing Devine?
disneyoct2012200.jpg

disneyoct2012201.jpg

I do have a video of her but I filmed it sideways. If you want to see it let me know and I will post it.

We then moved on. The backside of the tree.
disneyoct2012204.jpg

disneyoct2012205.jpg

It looks like we walked over to here.
disneyoct2012206.jpg

We decided to eat then.
disneyoct2012207.jpg

The line was not long and we were hungry. Lorrie went down to get us a table by the water and then I went down while Vinny and Kristel ordered.

The view from my seat.
disneyoct2012208.jpg

disneyoct2012209.jpg

It does not get better than that. What did we have? Funny you ask. Here is our menu.

Scott:
Ent - Smoked Turkey Breast - with cranberry mayonaise and fresh fruit $8.99
Drink – Iced Tea
Here is a pic. Sorry for the half eaten food.
disneyoct2012210.jpg

Vinny:
Ent: Barbecued Chicken Salad - with mixed greens tossed with barbecued chicken $7.79
Total = $17.53 (with the TIW discount of $4.11)

After our delicious lunch we moved on. Here are some pics on our out.

disneyoct2012213.jpg

I love the way this area is. So beautiful to look at.

I think I will stop this here.

Up next,

We go back millions of years…

I'm sad they got rid of the Little Red storyline on Safari :guilty: You got some cute pics of the real elephants though! I love elephants.

Lunch looked good! We've never eaten at Flame Tree but I hear great things about it. And your view from your table was incredible! :thumbsup2

  About the rude girl. Some people have NO manners!

Honestly I am not. I always thought it was cheesy. I would rather see live animals.
You should try it sometime. Go all the way down to the bottom and there is a little section of tables there.
I wish I tripped her. :lmao:

I'm with you on the little red line, don't miss it at all. I will be excited to see the zebras. Lunch looks really yummy. Fun morning so far, except for the rude girl.

Thanks. So far it was fun except for her. :rotfl2:

I love your photos of the Studios at night...whole different perspective...magical

Also your meal at the Turf Club looks really, really good...

I think those vintage cars are preset fabulous myself...

It's great that you weren't too impacted by Sandy... I've heard horror stories about parts of New York... We actually had tickets to a children's Jazz at Lincoln Center concert but based on what we've heard and the fact that we still don't have power ( outside of Philadelphia) ... We decided to skip it :(

Sigh... As God as my witness I'll never take power for granted again...

OK I don't remember the rude girl but then again I was getting cut off and blocked all over the place. The tour groups were all over AK that day.

That is my favorite spot to eat. A great view and great food. You forgot how much Vinny complained about his salad. I still don't understan why he orders a salad with chicken and then complains about the chicken and how much there is of it in a salad. :confused3 Especially because he kept saying he dislikes chicken. :lmao: He did seem to eat it all though.

Thank you.
it was good. I highly recommend it.
Yeah we got lucky up here. Staten island and Brooklyn and Queens got it bad. Sorry you had to skip it. I hope you get power soon. That would be the worst.

A great lunch at a great place but no bbq.:rotfl:
:rotfl: nope. I wasn't in the mood.

You and Kristel were a little bit back.
If I wrote about he complained it would never end. :rotfl2:
He will complain but eat it. He does not like to waste food.
