Scotland Just back

There are quite a lot of winding roads that we were on for quite a while. Interesting enough my patch was giving me some weird side effects from having to change it and keep one on all week. I had 2 leftover zofran that worked better! The road thru glen Coe I heard was beautiful I kept my eyes closed:(

I hear one terrible side effect on the patch is that it gives you cravings for haggis!

So the winding roads are every day?

And what is zofran?

Zofran is an anti-emetic. It's given for vomiting but will not help the motion sickness.
Thanks! I think I'll stick with the Patch & Sea Bands. They seem to work for me.

If anyone has ever traveled to Corsica and toured the island than they probably had the same queasy feeling on a bus. I never get queasy but that island made a liar out of me.:lmao: Our poor daughter even up-chucked as well as others on our tour bus. Curves, narrow roads, and speed don't mix well with over fed cruise patrons off the Magic.:worried:

Been there done that. Those were some windy roads. Did you go there on the 2011 DCL med cruise?

We had a teenager who got sick in Corsica on our ABD add-on in 2010. It was so amazing at the top, but yowza! That was some twisty-turny roads! Getting to the farm in Sorrento was a bit nauseating, too! It was a competition for the front of the bus both times!

Man, Tozzie! I'm so sorry for the turn your Thread has taken!

It was in 2010 on the Magic as well as Tunisia. Tunisia was......shall we say...."different".We were on Sardinia in 2009. Boy talk about two islands being so different. God has a sense of humor.:)

Don't be, motion sickness on the bus is something some people dealt with, it is better people know ahead of time and get ideas to help combat it. I am lucky, I used to get car sick as a kid but I grew out of it.

...been having fun watching a tv program this am on the Highland games.:goodvibes

Thank you for this thread as it provides a lot of info for me and others.:thumbsup2

Looking forward to Aug when its my turn.:woohoo:

Thanks for that, Tozzie. :goodvibes I'm the opposite. I never used to get car sick, but I seem to have grown into it! :sad2:

From what I remember those that got car sick on the bus were bothered most on Day 3 up to Portree due to the curvy roads.

And haggis was not bad at all. Now as far as blood pudding, I could go forever without trying that again - lol

And Tozzie I agree, loved the ABD Scotland experience and the Brave tie-ins

Tozzie, so glad to hear you had a great experience like we did. We briefly met Dusty last week at Epcot on our way to the Scotland Land of Food and Drink event. He had a wonderful energy about him and now has us thinking about doing the China or South Africa trip down the line. So many ABD's so few money trees and time

Dusty and Hanneke reminded me so much of why I do ABD trips that I canceled my
Alaskan Cruise and booked the Italy trip instead, the after hours access to the sistine chapel got me. Now I have 2 ABD trips next year but I did get my airfare on miles for that trip

I must say, the night-time Vatican/Sistine Chapel visit sure does sound wonderful!

Just reading your post about Dusty and Hanni, we had Dusty on our Bella Trip and he was outstanding, then last week while in DL wearing our ABD backbacks and landyard, a young lady in a Disney shirt stopped us and asked us what trips we have taken? Well how be, it was Hanni herself! We had a very plesant chat and then we had to get to ready for Dinner at Club 33. I wanted to say that we did an add on to our Bella Trip with Disney that included the after hours visit to the Sistine Chapel and it was amazing. Stefano, who was just mentioned in the most recent Travel and Lesiure Magazine as the highest rated private tour guide, was our guide for this event and the next day we did the Form and Colusium as well. Frankly, it was overwhelming to have all the private access to both places, but the Sistine Chapel and Museum with no one there but the 12 of us and listing to Stefano with the ear piece whispers..... PRICELESS.

We had a private tour with DCL in 2007 of the Sistine Chapel. It really is amazing being there alone with the group. One in our group asked the guard to take pictures and he replied " it's a private tour....it's Ok". We have stills and video which now is priceless to us.
