We arrive at like 11PM Wednesday night.

I had ALREADY scored a BOG lunch for Thursday & built our touring plans around it with fastpasses.

I just happened to see a BOG for 8:10 which would put me on a fairly empty mainstreet an hour before park opening. pixiedust:

I want to keep it. I love love love LOVE being in the parks before official opening. and I will release the lunch ...except hubby just doesn't think its a good idea. :( :upsidedow

fair warning, I AM a morning person & there is no way in heck we will ever sleep late at Disney (except on the designated DD day. :) Hubby is not a morning person but at Disney he humors me. (proved my point years ago by explaining that THOSE people waiting in line did NOT get to the parks early).:sad2::sad2::sad2:

so what would YOU do? keep the BOG breakfast and enjoy the empty park (despite arriving late the night before)...or let the BOG breakfast go and stick with the BOG lunch (still getting into the park at 9am) ? :chat:

I would definitely do breakfast. I have one for 8 in January. I'm not sure my daughter will even be tall enough to ride 7DMT at that point, but I mostly made the ADR for the empty walk down Main Street. Lunch for me has been meh the two times we've eaten there, so I hadn't planned to try for a lunch ADR.

We did BOG breakfast in April and I don't plan on ever doing it again. The food wasn't that great and very expensive for what it was. And my three boys don't really care about Beauty and the Beast. Not worth it, IMO.

I did it this week and didn't really like it. BOG is pretty quiet at breakfast but the food wasn't great. I think the lunch food is sooo much better! However I did enjoy getting on 7DMT before the park officially opened. If you aren't planning to hit 7DMT or Anna and Elsa first thing then personally I don't think it's worth it. I'd just get there early for RD so you can be one of the first people under the railway bridge for nearly empty Main St shots

Ordinarily I'd say go for the breakfast. But if your flight arrives at 11:00, you won't get to your resort til around 12:30. And you'd have to be out at the bus stop by 7:00. I'd be way too tired- no way to start a vacation (I'm not a morning person, either).

Is it just the two adults or do you have kids? If it's just adults, then I say go for it (and tell the husband to suck it up). If you have kids on the trip...then no way. I think that would lead to a really bad day after such a late arrival the night before.

I agree, there is no way I would do this. I am a morning person and the thought mkes me cringe. WE just vacationed in August and I managed an 8 AM ADR in BOG after Illuminations in Epcot the night before. Holy Dragging my family out the door! Several of us are early risers but it was a dog trying to push the late bloomers the get moving, and thawas after a "normal" bedtime. Never again!

Keep the lunch. I don't think its worth it to push dh. You will be tired from the late arrival. Also, as many have stated, the breakfast does not get good reviews.

Drop the breakfast. Too little time before you would have to be in the park IMHO. I am in the process of fine tuning the times for my ADR's- so have been on the site a few times a day for around a week or so, and BOG breakfast drops onto the screen pretty frequently. So frequently that I could have had one most days we are staying there. I was under the impression that it is hard to get- not true based on my experiences with the system. Lunch and dinner are much less frequent- I have seen lunch drop out 3 times, and dinner only once (which we took). If you have another day as an option, and really want to eat breakfast there- keep checking on the website.

Normally I would say do both only because my family loves BOG and can't get enough of it (we are doing breakfast, lunch, and dinner on our upcoming trip), plus my family really likes doing pre park opening ADRs because we really like the feel of a near empty park while walking to the different restaurants. However, like PP said, since you have an extremely late flight in, I probably wouldn't worry about an early breakfast the very next day, instead I would keep looking for another BOG breakfast for another day (if it works out in your plans). Good luck with whatever you decide.

It depends, have you been to BOG for lunch before, what are your plans for the rest of your trip (lots of late nights?), how easy will it be to rearrange your FP that day, do you have other days you could do breakfast, etc.

Personally, we've done BOG lunch before (and enjoyed it) but never BOG breakfast, so we would probably try the breakfast with the extra bonus of getting onto Main Street early. We are morning people, and also typically don't have a lot of late nights planned on the trip. But if you've never done BOG lunch, I would say keep the lunch. Like previous poster said, BOG lunch/dinner ADRs difficult to get, easier to grab BOG breakfast for a different day. Also note that depending on time of year, there have been people who booked BOG breakfast and then Disney changed MK opening to 8am.

Been there once for breakfast and once for lunch. Preferred the food at breakfast. Also loved empty Main Street pics and riding SDMT 3x with no wait!

If you had kids, I'd say not to get up early that day, but adults can handle it.

I agree. I'm a morning person but I don't think it's worth it when you can hit the mine train at rope drop and get on with at least a 10-20 min wait. we have done this multiple times during various busy times of the year with no issue.

BOG breakfast. deff not worth it IMO, but food is very personal. others might think it's a 5 star place. I personally really like lunch there. have eaten lunch there 5 times now from the first opening to present and everytime it has been exactly the same. it's deff consistent in my eyes then which says something. I think lunch is good. my family feels the same.

argh...we are TIED! It is only my hubby and myself. I know its going to be a late flight..but oh, the thought of an empty main street has me dying. sigh

Maybe I missed it- but what time is your lunch? Can you do both? Keep the breakfast and maybe share? Then go back for lunch?
