Scooters/Mopeds

Years and Years ago when I was in Nassau we rented mopeds and drove around the islands and had a blast. Does anyone know if they still rent them (Nassau or Freeport) and if so where or how much and the age/license requirement?

As a Registered Nurse who works in a Trauma Center in South Florida, I urge you to be very careful riding Scooters/mopeds.
Just this week alone we had 2 cruise guests crash their mopeds and sustained injuried so severe that they had to be taken off island in an Air Ambulance.
Both Patients had to pay out of pocket ($10,000.00) the cost of the Air Ambulance ride to South Florida.
I would suggest Do Not Ride the Mopeds, or if you do ride, have insurance to cover an air ambulance if you get injured.

Both Patients told us " I 'll never get on a Moped again"

That sure makes you stop and think!! Actually as I did a bit more online research I found many people who advised against it, saying the equipment was poorly maintained and the conditions were very dangerous. Back when I was young and carefree and it wasn't crowded at all. It was a wonderful memory that will probably have to stay a memory!! Thanks for the realistic info!!
