Hi All
I am wondering if anyone could help me. My parents cant walk very far & i was wondering if anyone knew how much it was to hire the electric scooters in Disney Parks & the others. Its just so they know how much to put to 1 side for them. I cant seem to find anything on the internet on how much they are.
Thank You for your help.

You can rent from the parks, but you may also want to consider renting from an off site company as that will cost you less and they deliver right to your resort.

One day rental from the park-"ECVs: $50/day and $20 key deposit that you will get back when the key is returned, so you pay $70 and get $20 of that back with the key return. (price increase as of 11/20/09) "

I would get one from offsite. They are cheaper, easier to maneuver, they give discounts if needed for more than 7 days, and are just nicer overall. I think the last time we got one for my mom it was like $260.00 for nine days. We always use Walker's Mobility for my mom, but Apple, Care, and Randy's also get good reviews here on the DIS. If you go with Randy's you have to be there for delivery and pickup. The others drop them off at Bell Services and will be waiting for you when you arrive. On the last day, just drop them back off at bell services.

I rented the larger 3 wheel from Aple for $175 for the week and I loved it. Very easy to drive and get on the buses and I loved having it at the resort so I could go all around there also. Some evenings we tokk cabs to other resorts for dinner and I did not use it then. I can walk but can not stand for long so I need the ECV. Makes for a better trip for me and my whole family.

Also, something to note, you cannot reserve the park scooters ahead of time for your parents. The scooters are first-come, first-served. This means if you do not get there in the morning, they may be out of scooters. I suggest renting off-site as this ensures you have a scooter at all times.

Also, at my resort, it was a mile round trip walk to the pool! And a half mile round trip just to get food. I would definitely want a scooter at the resort since some can be very large.
