I was checking the internet sites for scooter rental specials and just got a rate from K & M Rentals for $20 day for the GOGO scooter. She offered me a $120 weekly rate but we are only at the "world" for 3 days. Since I got such a great deal I added the canopy and bigger basket for our treasures.

The lady on the phone mentioned that they were offering summer specials on all sizes of scooters.

Probably should have added the phone number for K & M 407-363-7388 or 1-888-616-8675

Just curious if they will deliver to Disney resorts like the rest of the suppliers?

Some companies make you pay extra for insurance coverage in case of damage. Is the price including insurance?

The lady (Mary) on the phone said that they deliver to all area resorts FREE as long as it's at least a three day rental.

She also mentioned that beginning July 1st they will start allowing pick up and daily rentals.

They don't offer insurance but explained that they have never had any issues with their rentals so they decided it was just an added expense for the guest that was not necessary.

Will you please say why you don't suggest this company?

GrammyJ - Sounds like you had a bad experience. My wife and I and a couple of grandkids will be going to WDW and staying in Ft. Wilderness Cabins. My wife has been having with leg pain when walking any distance and has asked me to look into ECVs. Ideally an off site rental would allow use of ECV from Cabin to boat and then in Parks. Did you have any good or bad experiences with offsite ECV rental that would help my research. We are going in Aug 2011.

::yes::
Post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread has a number of off-site rental places listed. They are listed there because DIS posters have reported many good experiences with them over the years.
