Has anyone had experience with either Scooter Bug Ecv or Best Price? They have the best prices on Disney's preferred list. I'd actually just as soon use Disney's, they worked best for my needs. And it was no big deal worrying on if they ran out. We went to the MK late one day and it was packed, and didn't have any trouble. Plus I don't want the hassle of lugging it on and off the bus. I have RSDS (chronic nerve pain) and osteo arthritis in my feet. But, too much sitting I get nerve sparks in my legs. So I need the balance of walk and ride. This trip, my BIL is coming and he's a healthy young man. Lol. I can get him to deal with the bus and use the scooter when I need to walk. The price of $160 or $190 is a huge difference over Disney's $300. My TA recommended Buena Vista but I think they were around $240. Recommendations?

I have RSDS (cannot believe I am talking with someone who has this also). I am using Walker Mobility which is costing me $190 for 7 days and that includes insurance on it if anything would happen to it. Please give me any help (even messages) how you deal with your RSDS!! Hope you have a wonderful Disney Vacation!

My friend rented through Best Price for her last trip, and recommended them to another friend for his trip as well, so I guess that's their preferred vendor. I was one of her park entourage, and never saw any major physical or mechanical issues with the scooter, and the delivery was pretty seamless. I'd say theyare probably a good company to deal with.

Let's make that 3 of us with RSDS. I have used Apple with great results. I think they were around $150 for a week. I have used them several times now with no problems what so ever. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

I'm not sure about dealing with it. It's in its quite moment right now. I've had 3 flare ups since being diagnosed. My issue was working. I worked 8 hours a day on my feet. When I was laid off, I was pretty much done. I don't know I could have gone on for much longer. I used to take Cymbalta and that worked great for me. And I took lyrica, but it didn't really do much, just take the edge off. Then my insurance wouldn't cover the Lyrica. My family dr. Took me off the Cymbalta because see thought it had Tylenol in it (I had blood work that showed raised liver enzymes) now my pain Dr won't put me back on it. They claim they never treated RSD with it. I took it for 7 years! I need a new pain doctor. My podiatrious is amazing. He diagnosed me and has a great understanding of it. I had a bone scan and the RSD didn't like it, I couldn't walk for a week. They said it's improved, but now I have degenerative arthritis.

Thank you, I'm going to look into this one again. I can't find anyone that used scooter bug. They were the cheapest.

I don't think I've ever met anyone with RSDS. Most people look at me like I have 2 heads, so I just say chronic pain. Even then they don't get it. What to do? I'll have to go back and check prices again. Apple seems to get great reviews.

Is walker a preferred? Or do you need to be there when they deliver? I think I might have used them before. I broke my foot and spent 7 months in a wheelchair (the RSD had spread to both feet then) and was still having trouble, so I rented a scooter. When I was working and on meds, I had no trouble walking the park, believe it or not.

You do have to be there when they deliver and pick up. I wanted it that way so I can look it over and bring any dinges etc to their attention when they bring it and I want to make sure it is back in their hands when I leave so they cannot say I damaged or didn't return it and end up paying for a scooter!

Good point!

walker is not on the preferred due to disney "policy politics" but walker far surpasses the other "preferred" companies. I have been renting from them for years without a proble. In fact, just going into O-town Friday and I know my scooters will be waitng for me ready to go!
