This is an offshoot from an earlier thread. Gluman11 had mentioned the use of a company called "Scootaround" which I had not heard of. He appeared satisfied with their service. AMF then provided a link, which I followed. I also made a phone call to the company.
Scootaround, Inc is located in Winnipeg, Canada. They have about 500 locations worldwide, with Tampa being the closest to Orlando. Their URL is www.scootaround.com and they have a toll-free number of 1-888-441-7575.
They also have wheelchairs, not just ECVs. Their current rates (including pickup and delivery) are based on time blocks. The minimum rental is three days for $150.00, then it jumps to $200.00 for up to a week. Ten days is $260.00 and longer rentals are possible. For more than 300 pounds they have heavy duty scooters at higher prices.
The web site does provide links to locations concerning both technology and accessible travel. It does not have any large pictures of the ECVs, or information concerning disassembly or assembly.
Based on the information they provided to me and Gluman11's comments, I am going to include them on my standard blurb about ECVs.
