Scoops Is Now Open Late!!!!

This is, indeed, great news!

I'd like to also advise you late-night ice cream fanatics (if you don't already know,) the Mickey ice cream bars are available from room service. Just ask! (They're not on the menu, but they're there!) And..room service is free!

mm's, sprinkles and some other things that I dont remember I think they had some thing chocolate they poured .

They had sprinkles, M&M's, chocolate syrup (not hot, the kind in the bottle -- Hershey's maybe?), some type of caramel or butterscotch topping.......that is all I can remember. I am a purist, I just get it without toppings!

Coke floats! Now why didn't I think about that We sent dd on the ice cream runs, LOL, which she was happy to do.

We were far too full after late seating for SCOOPS, but it made a wonderful late afternoon snack (along with pizza) by the pool.

this is my first treat when I get on the ship the first day.
The first year we were on they served peanut MM, now
that was a treat. I hope it remains open late thru next

I know this must be elsewhere--can someone please verify the current status of whether Scoops is serving soft-serve or hard/scoop ice cream?

In any event, a wonderful guest-friendly move to re-open in the evenings. Add this to putting the Coke Fountain on the drink station on Deck 9 and you have two very nice improvements from DCL in the past year that really are little things but that can be so very much appreciated.

And DS requires chocolate ice cream every night at home, so now I can keep him on his normal routine (some routine!).

In the beginning of DCL the ice cream was indeed hard packed....not so anymore!!!

Here's a question.....is the icecream any good? I know to some, icecream is icecream, but there is that one really cheap kind that just tastes so icky! Is it smooth and creamy or that kind that has the ice flakes in it?

It is not smooth and creamy. After reading these boards I was so looking forward to it but it's just OK. My kids who have ice cream almost every day never asked for it again. The chocolate sauce is Hersheys right out of the bottle.
