Scoop Sanderson leaving Main Street!!!!!

We always enjoyed visiting with Scoop and are sorry to see him go. Some of our favorite memories are of time spent watching the Main Street characters. Mayor Weaver and Hildegarde are fantastic!

Scoop was amazing to me and my husband two weeks ago on our 25th Anniversary, taking tons of pucs of us with Hildegarde and Mayor Weaver, acting like an ace photographer. They keep cutting the special stuff, stuff first timers wont notice, but the roughly $85k Ive spent on trips since 2006 dont count? I could see evidence of cutting everywhere...heartbroken. Not going back if this keeps up.

We met him once in our several trips, it was December 2014, and he was very rude to my son who politely walked up a(fter just seeing him trade with another boy) and asked if he could please look at his pins. He rudely said "No! I am not trading any more today!" and kind of shooed us away. It left a very bad taste in our mouth being the first time we'd ever met this character so many speak so highly of. If he kept on treating people the way he did my son, I'm not surprised his contract wasn't renewed.

We had a very similar experience with him this past May. We thought maybe he just didn't trade with children.

I've meet him several times on Main Street and at the Epcot pin trading events. I've had some encounters with him that, let's just say, weren't that great. I know people love him - but, not my cup of tea.

Not my cup of tea either. I won't miss him in the least.

For anyone wanting to catch Scoop one last time :
He will have half-hour sets tomorrow (9/30) and next Thursday (10/08) at 9:45, 10:45, 11:45, 12:45, & 1:45pm.
Next Monday 7:40 Welcome show and street sets until 12:15pm.
His last day will be Oct. 7. Welcome show at 6:40am. Street sets 7:45, 8:45, 9:45, 10:45.
