Are the platters the same size from lunch to dinner? I see the menu is similiar but whats the difference other than eating later?? Also other than the price. Thanks

Sorry, can't help. I have read so many bad reviews of this restaurant from so many different people, that I have never eaten there.

Sorry I can't answer your question either as I've only gone for lunch. I have read to stick to the basics and we've always had burgers or salads and have always had a great time. I've never used the dining plan so I didn't do appetizers and desserts. My kids (6,4,2) really loved the atmosphere. It is a really nice cool break from the hot parks.

I also ate there for lunch but never dinner. I'm taking frineds there in 2 weeks and was trying to tell them about it. They want dinner. Thanks

We eat here once or twice every trip and absolutely love it--wouldn't miss the experience for the world as it's truly Disney magic :wizard: We go in the hot summer months, so the latest lunch ressie is our habit. There is always so much food anyway, I'm afraid we'd all leave even more to waste for dinner. Plus, we like to get out of the heat of the day and this more than cools us down. If you'd like to look at the specific menu choices, go on allearsnet.com. Click on Dining, MGM, and you'll find all the lunch and dinner options. Unlike another poster, we've been more than satisfied with the food. I usually get a non-burger meal, the kids and DH get the burgers and other than one year when their soda machines broke down and the soda was pretty flat, we have no complaints. It's a great way to re-live the entire drive inn movie experience of DH and my growing up years. Of course our kids don't even know what that is!! :cool1:

As others have said, go for lunch and stick to the basics on the menu like a burger if you want to have the Sci-Fi experience. IMHO the food here is among the worst in all of WDW. The dinner entrees are nowhere near worth the price, either in quality or portion size.

I would avoid DINNER (lunch was fine) here at all costs. I can't put my finger on it but it's not a dinner type place imo. the prices are higher and the food tasted as if it was leftovers from lunch.

i love going here for lunch so it's not the food itself or anything like that.

We had eaten lunch there before and thought it was fine. Then unfortunately on our last trip we had dinner there and it was disgusting. So ... lunch is okay (burger or sandwich), and dinner is yuck!

I'm so glad to see someone who's had other than burgers at Sci-Fi. What have you had and how was it? It seems that most everyone who's liked SciFi has had burgers, but I wanted to try something different. Not fond of hamburgers.

i remember going a couple of times in my wdw history. I really really liked the ambience and the whole "drive in" theme. In my opinion, the food was not that complimenting. The theme sucked me back for a second visit but upon tasting the same "microwaved" food a second time, if saw to it that two was enough.

Sorry, OP was not asking for a review :). I do not know about the differences between dinner and lunch. Check the prices and see if there is a difference. Lunch may just be a smaller portion. I really do not know. But the theme is really cool! or did i say that already?

Foobs :earsboy:
