We went to Sci Fi last week and I have to say it was probably the worst meal I've ever had. First of all we had to wait 30 minutes past our ADR time. Then the service was terrible. It took a LONG time to place our order and then to get our food. I had the ribs and they were very dry. The beans were ok but I was really hoping to have good tasting ribs. My stepson ordered the chicken sandwich. Well after waiting a LONG time for our food the waitress came out and said that they were out of buns and that he could order something else or have the chicken without the bun or on white bread. We just opted for the chicken with no bun cause we were really ready to go by this point. My 7 yr old ordered the cheese pizza and it just didn't taste very good at all. When stepson got his chicken he said this tastes like crap and I said just eat it. I took one bite and it really did taste horrible. It was cold and tasted like it wasn't really done but who could tell since it is so dark in there. We left without even ordering dessert because we just wanted OUT OF THERE!

The only positive note to the meal were the shakes.....I must say they were very good.

This was not the first time we've tried this restaurant and it has always been just ok to us but the kids love the cars and movie clips so we went back. Hopefully this was just a bad night. I don't think I'll be going back any time soon.

Yes, I too insisted to my husband we eat here because I LOVE ribs. Boy, what a disapointment! The novelty of the place wore off quickly for us, despite that we gave it another try on our next trip. My husband said never again. There are just too many other good places to eat at.

I really have to agree, and glad I'm not the only one. My burger was pretty much burned, and my mom said her chicken sandwich had really no flavor. My DDs pizza, while she liked it, was microwaved, I know it. NOT good at all. The milkshake was yummy, and the peanut butter chocolate cake was very good. My daughter's ice cream was melty when it came out. The service rubbed me the wrong way, and it was SOO dark I had to take a picture to see my food (well, I was taking pictures anyway, but it did help me to see the food!). Like kmvand1, the novelty wore off very quickly for me. Glad I tried it, but won't return!

It's been said here many many times- STICK WITH THE BURGERS, FRIES and SHAKES.

Whenever we stray we are disappointed. Now the burgers are not the best but they are pretty good. And I enjoy the onion rings too.

I agree on the chicken sandwich- dh had it last year "trying to eat light" and ended up eating all my cheeseburger!
We just love the darkness in the middle of the july heat. It's a must do lunch for us.

Sorry you didnt enjoy the food...we were nervous about eating here too but we stuck to burgers and onion rings and they were fantastic, the reuben was very good too.....maybe thats the key...stick with burgers :rotfl:

We ate there last September and the food was both cold and burnt! We had hamburgers and a reuben and both of us were very disappointed! We will not do this one again!:surfweb:

We went there in July and it was okay.I had the spinach dip for app and I got the chicken cesear salad for entree.I enjoyed the app and the salad was good(typical salad)My husband had a burger and onion rings(the rings were good)and my dd had a burger I think.I knew to go basic from reviews here but my dd loved the place so much it is the only place she is asking for in Aug so I will try to go again for her.I did think the atmosphere was really cool. She still has her drivers license they gave her.

well i'm glad i didn't stick with the burger because they had no buns. How does a place that serves mostly burgers run out of buns? I mean this is disney you know they must have buns stockpiled somewhere! :rolleyes1

What time did you go? Really I can't imagine them running out of buns. But I guess if it was late? I don't know. They run out of buns because we're all ordering the burger.:rotfl2:

Ate there this past October. Food was ok. Didn't mess with the ribs. I love ribs and these kinda scared me. But the milkshake was good. Kinda disapointed thought. Not what I thought it would be. You can only sit throught the attack of the fifty foot woman so many times. I actually thought that It played old movies not old cheeze movie commericals.

That's ashame!! We have gone quite a few times and never had a bad experience with the exception of having to wait sometimes. Hope the rest of your meals were yummy!

sorry you had a bad experience. i went and the food and service was wonderful. i enjoyed it so much that i am going back next month when i visit the world. goes to show you that any restaurant can be hit or miss.

We've never been to Sci Fi and I made a late afternoon res there for next month. I'm leary because of reading so many negative reviews, but I really think my girls will like the setting, so I made it for 3:50 with the idea that we'll eat a CS lunch and just have dessert there. :confused3
