Sci Fi Walk up possible for early June with 7?

We are planning on hitting the Hollywood Studios park on June 7th or 8th with 7 people. I haven't decided if we are going to do Fantasmic or go to the park on a less busy day - so we are still up in the air on the 7th or 8th.

Anyway, I was wondering how crowded Sci Fi is during this time in June? Would we be able to get seated as a walk-up at any time during the day?

Oh - and as long as the food is edible, I really don't care if there are better places to eat. I just thought the atmosphere looked awesome for the kids.... and a good place to cool down.

Sci Fi is a popular restaurant and tends to be busy every day. Going on a Fantasmic day will make it even more crowded. Even with a reservation it's one of the places where we have had to wait pretty much every time we've been there. Walking up with 7 people won't be easy.

Also, sitting in a car is a big part of the atmosphere, but walk ups are often seated at a table in the back because cars are given first to the people with reservations.

I'm not sure if June 7th and 8th will be less busy, but there is very little availability at Sci-Fi for the days I'm looking for (June 12th to June 17th).
I'm looking for a party of 10, but I've also tried splitting the reservations into 6 and 4 and there's hardly anything available.

If I were you, I'd suggest trying to get a reservation for the 7th and the 8th, then cancel the one you don't need as soon as you decide which day you are going.

Are all of you set on sitting together? The atmosphere is great, food is good, milk shakes are terrific, and the air conditioning is super cold.

Separate is fine As long as am adult is at or close to each table. 4 of us are 11 and under.

Sci Fi is always crowded and most times has a board out saying they aren't taking walkups.

We've seen that in early June even on weekdays. I'd book both days right now and cancel one when you figure out which date you want.
