The few times we've been to HS we have eaten at Brown Derby, which is great. Thought for this November we would try something different.

Differences between Sci-Fi and 50s Prime Time? I think for Italian on this trip we will try Tutto (were on dining plan).

Food quality wise, are they similar, just different menus? How is the food at each? I have looked at the menus...

you can see their menus here:

They are both themed restaurants to me the food is secondary and nothing extrodianary more of an experience if you will. It seems for PTC it depends who is your waiter or waitress if your experience is a good one, this is just my opinion of course.

For me and my family we did not enjoy PTC, but I have friends who loooooooove it.

We love the Sci-Fi, I read a lot of bad reviews regarding the food. However, we had bugers and shakes for lunch and loved it!!!!

We loved sitting in a car and watching the funny kitchy B-movie antics.

The Sci-Fi was one of 3 resaurants that were a must for my DD's.

Because of our dining experiences last trip, this trip for me it is not about the food but more about picking out experiences and memories.

Last trip it was all about the food, this trip it is the memories:goodvibes

We have eaten at both locations and would have to choose PTC. Our experience at SciFi was not very family friendly becuase we are a family of 5 and they seated us in one of the "cars". I ended up sitting in the very back all by myself - not a very family friendly dinner. We were also seated right by the door into the kitchen (I know that someone always ends up there at it was just our turn) so it was loud and busy and when you are sitting alone with no one to talk with it just is not fun. So I guess my response would be; it depends on how many are in your party and if you are seated at a table or in a car. Have a great trip!

I've been to both:

Sci-Fi - the atmosphere is great, and the clips from the old movies shown are entertaining. However, I found both the food and the service to be horrible. The experience ended up being grating over an hour and a half.

Prime Time - food was much better here. Theme of the restaurant is excellent, a lot of fun.

My choice is Prime Time. I'm going there again this fall.
