Sci Fi seating

So I booked the Sci Fi Drive in for one of our TS mainly because it looks so fun, since I have heard that the food is just "ok". But then I also heard that sometimes you get seated at "picnic tables" and not the cute car booths. So my question is, do they accept a request for a car booth when we arrive? There are only 2 in our party, so I am a little worried we will get the boot!

You should be fine but you can double check if you want. Generally parties of two will get the backseat behind another group. Have fun.

I have no idea if they accept requests (I would think that they would!), but I can tell you that DF & I have gone there twice and both times we were seated in a car. We're going there on our next trip too.

You can request a car but you might have to wait longer.

Almost forgot - the shakes and onion rings are really good!

We've gotten the car with 2 people before. The cars seat 6, two by two. Sometimes there will be a party of 4 and a party of 2 in one car. Or even 3 parties of 2.

I think they'll let you wait for a car. We got a picnic table the first time we went (3 adults), but didn't really ask for a car - every other time we've gotten a car.

When we were there last week, I heard them telling people trying to get in as walk-ups that the cars were reserved for people who had made ADRs only. DH and I had ADRS and were there as a party of two and we were seated in the front row of a 4-seater car. A couple on their honeymoon were seated in the row behind us not long after we ordered our drinks.

I made our ADRs for here for our trip in Dec. It's just 2 of us, but we've never eaten here before, so how close are you to the other people in the cars? Close enough to over hear conversations? Are the other people in the cars right in front of you? Just curious.

We couldn't really hear the people sitting behind us (that I recall). The movie loop that they play was loud enough to cover alot of the conversations around us (not painfully loud though - kind of like being at a movie theatre )

I'm pretty sure they fit two people per row in the cars, so there would be people behind and/or in front of you. I'm pretty sure we have pictures of at least some of the cars at home, so I can check later to see if I can find a good one that would give you a better idea of the set up.

We've eaten here every single trip and never had to request a car and have always sat in one. There's only a few tables as opposed to many cars. I believe they reserve the tables for overweight guests that can't easily fit into the booths, people in wheelchairs, and people who request them (and at the very last resort give them out to just regular ADR's/walk-ups).

I've never been able to hear other people's conversations unless they were really loud. Sometimes it is pretty noisy in there (but there have been times it's been silent too) and the speakers are right beside each car and are pretty loud (but not deafening).

You can certainly request it when you get there just to be sure you get one.
