I reluctantly just made an ADR for Sci Fi. I originally had an ADR for Mama Melrose, but needed to change the day we go HS (changed from 12/3 to 12/6)....nonetheless, MM was not available on 12/6. Neither was 50's PT, so I booked Sci Fi. I looked at their dinner menu and I'm just not thrilled.

What's good to order from there?

We love it there
We went for luch last time, we had milk shakes, onion rings and cheese burgers

They also have a great dessert, it's cheese cake with caramel drizzled on it and cracker jacks :thumbsup2
The food is good, not the best but the atsmosphere of the Sci Fi is awesome

I had eaten there several times in the past because who doesn't love eating in the little cars and watching the funny clips, but had mediocre to terrible meals so had given up on it entirely. When I was there this September I decided to give it another try on the spur of the moment and had a fantastic pasta for lunch - bow tie pasta with shrimp, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, spinach and feta cheese. The same pasta is on the dinner menu. I also had a chocolate milkshake, so mentioned to the CM waiting on me that I wasn't ordering onion rings although I wanted to try them as the milkshake was taking up my extra calories. She gave me a complimentary small dish of onion rings with ranch style dipping sauce! It was a great experience all around.

You can order burgers at supper even though they aren't on the menu.

Just wanted to pass that little tidbit along.

We love Sci-Fi for lunch. Milkshakes, onion rings, and cheeseburgers. It's not upscale dining by any means, but it's a fun place for basic food. :)

We love it here and try to go everytime. For us, its an ambiance (sorry, sp) thing. But for us, it's more of a hamburger and shake kind of place. I wouldn't expect any gourmet food. But it's fun! And the food is good if ya order right!

LOVE Sci Fi! As PPs said, not gourmet food but the theming is wonderful and it's just good, greasy, drive-in food! We're having lunch here on our upcoming trip!

I love sci-fi. Took my family there last year and they all loved it. Yeah , like other people have said, the food is good, not fantastic, but not bad at all. I have always had fun there and enjoyed my food and the service. Give it a try and you will like it! :):)

We ate there last year for dinner and both had the BLT soup and the steak. Mine was rare and my friends was well-done. Both came out perfectly as ordered and were both delicious! I'd definitely eat there again!

Going for the first time next month, planning on the burger(my only one of the trip, so it better be good)!:thumbsup2

We ate there a few weeks ago. We had the burgers for dinner which were good, not great. We also got to sub onion rings for fries & that made me excited because I didn't know you could do it there :thumbsup2 & we got both cheeses on our burgers. My son had the ribs & they were good, but I preferred Flame Tree BBQ. I also had the cheesecake for dessert with the regular caramel, M&M's whipped cream plus ice cream. It was total overload! I did not have any cheesecake in Disney that was really good, just ok to not so great. I did not finish my cheesecake at Sci-Fi as it was just ok. The caramel corn was a little stale, but I expected it to be :confused3 due to the high humidity in WDW. My kids had milkshakes (which were awesome!) for their beverage & dessert. Okay food, great atmosphere. I am not planning on going next year, unless my kids really want to. It would have been about $100 for a burger dinner if we were not on the dining plan.

i haven't eaten there yet and have not heard the best reviews but i did make an ADR for my next trip. fine dining it ain't but i don't expect it to be. i love milkshakes and onion rings so will probably order those as i do hear good things about them and soak up the atmosphere.

We've eaten there once for lunch. The onion rings are very good. I had the chicken sandwich, it was still raw in the middle. I didn't know until I bite into it because it is dim in the restaurant and I couldn't see. My DD had a cheeseburger which was good. I will go back but I won't be ordering the chicken!

Oh we loved it there...I have a review in my dining review in my siggy!!!!

Bring a sweater because it can be cold in there for some..it was for both me and Tim lol. I loved the dessert from there and the BLT soup!!

I have been there twice and have loved it. We always stick to burgers/sandwiches and milkshakes, though.

I have to chime in here since I just LOVED sci fi this past trip. It was way better than I expected!

I had the burger (mushroom/swiss) and onion rings and DH ordered the ribs & spinach dip. Everything was very good. Really really good. We had lunch there in September.
