How much space do you have in the cars? We are going with the ILs, and FIL is a bigger guy. Now, I am wondering if he will fit comfortably in the cars.

We ate there last year and felt like we had plenty of space. But it was DH with DS in the first row and me and DD in the second row. We had hitchhikers that were seated a little bit after us and I never felt it was uncomfortable with them there.

Btw, get the onion rings. They are wonderful!

DH and I are both pooh-sized and we've never had a problem at Sci-Fi. We've never felt cramped at all. Which makes me start to wonder about the normal-sized folks who think the seats are "tight".

And I definitely don't like sitting with strangers during meals...but we've been 'hitchhikers' and had hitchhikers numerous times, since we're always just a party of two. At Sci-Fi, we've never felt bothered. There's a definite definition between each row of seats...and because most people are watching the movie clips, it tends to be one of the quietest dining experiences. I've certainly never felt like I was hanging onto every word my neighbors were saying...generally I usually have to struggle just to hear DH over all the sound effects!

We have a reservation in Oct and we are a family of 3. My DH is planning on sitting by himeself and letting me and DD sit together. His only concern is that they will have another family of 3 sit with us and have a stranger sitting with him. We definitely want a car to sit in but don't want to have someone sit with him.

Your dh doesn't have to be worried about a stranger sitting beside him, but you may have a party of 2 "hitchhike" and sit in the third row

How long past ADR time has someone waited JUST to get a front car seat? This will be our first time there and I read that if a child is in the front seat they might give him a "license" of sorts. Not sure if that is still true...but he is all about cars and I know it would be well worth the wait if it's a request they can do. I just wondered how long did someone wait just for a front row car? Thanks!!
