I am trying to remember the seating for Sci-Fi
Was it one or two to a seat?
How many seats in each car?

TIA

There are 3 rows in each car, each row can hold 2 people, 3 possibly if 1 or 2 are small children.

Three benches in each car. They fit two adults. they might fit two adults and one small child. They would fit three young children. Three adults would probably be uncomfortable.

We ate at Sci-Fi 3 of the last 4 weekends for SWW. The majority of the cars have 3 rows, but some only have 2. We were in one that had two one of those 3 meals. Each row was 2 across. The only exceptions are the cars with chairs instead and the umbrella tables in the back. I think the chair tables sat 8 and the umbrella tables in the back 4, but I could be wrong there.

I know you didn't ask about the food, but just have to add that the picnic burger was amazing but huge!! DH and I ended up sharing it the 2nd time around because it was too big for either of us to eat alone. It's a cheese burger and 2 hot dogs on a bun with sauteed onions and I think there was saurkraut in it too.

Our car had 3 bench seat rows with 2 people per row. My husband and I shared the seat in the middle row (kids wanted to sit up front) and it was a little tight. We had hitchhikers (strangers) sitting in the back row of our car.

We were seated in a car with 2 rows for the 4 of us. 2 teens were in the front row & my DH & I were in the back. We had plenty of room, but we're on the slimmer side. That could make a difference. We loved having our own car. If my DH & I go alone, we'll probably ask for a table. I'm not sure I'd enjoy being a hitchhiker. I'd rather avoid the potential for someone's long hair getting in my food. I have long hair, so I can see how it could easily happen. Having to look at possible sweaty bodies in front of us wouldn't be very appetizing either. I know I probably over think things, when it comes to food. :rolleyes1

You sure you've been to sci fi? I've been a hitch hiker plenty of times and I can honestly say that the people in front of you are not that close. Not in the slightest! theyre far enough that you dont even notice them, let alone hear or smell them.

Btw my son and I had plenty of space all around. And we're not petite! we are average height and weight.

Yeah, I've been there. We were definitely close enough to my DS & his DGF (at the time) to notice they were there. My hair would be long enough to flow onto the table behind me, if I allowed it to. We've never been a hitchhiker, so I can't speak from that perspective.

We thought the burger & onion rings were the best we've had at WDW. I just think we'd probably be more comfortable at a table, if it were just the 2 of us.

and I was VERY Happy with this seating option! (Table for 6 "within" a car)

Have a magical visit !

We just ate at Sci Fi on Saturday. We had a great time. I was a little annoyed that we had to wait 20 min past our ADR time to be seated .

We shared the picknic burger. it was great.

yes, the tables are a little tight, but i still think that Sci Fi is about the coolest dining venue in all of WDW. Where else in the world would you find a place like this?

I agree, its pretty neat. Very unique restaurant. We love it! Stick to burgers and shakes and you wont be disappointed. :thumbsup2 Love their burgers.

The seating arrangements are fine, i've never had a problem as a hitch hiker. Nor did I think the seats in front/back were too close together.

The first Saturday of SWW we had to wait about 30 minutes past our ADR time when our ADR was for right after the Hoopla. But ate there 2 other weekends after that and we were taken before our time, but we ate while people were lining the streets for the SW motorcade, 12:15.

We love Sci-Fi! It is one of only two reservations we have for our August trip. It is a fun place to eat.

I can! Last May DH, Myself and DD (4YRS) ate here for the first time and had to share a car with another family :sad2:. This I will never do again, the rows are pretty close ( we all shared 1 row, the other family was a family of 4 so 2 per each row) and the kids were very loud, kept on kicking the seats, just not a way we wanted to eat dinner by sharing a meal with another family and hearing their whole conversation.

whenever i've gone to Sci-Fi, it was either with DS and myself, or DH and myself - always sent to the back of the car!!!

(except for one time when i requested and we waited for the front row in a car, DH and myself, just to get that "photo" of us in front!)

but actually, the back seat is cool too, when you get your photo taken from "behind" leaning over the back seat!

i've even eaten there solo, sitting in the back - very relaxing!

Sci-Fi does PhotoPass pictures? Is this included in PhotoPass+
