Sci-Fi & Parade

Have a question some veterns can help with.

We want to have some shakes & onion rings at the Sci-Fi. We would like to do this before the parade at MGM/Disney Studios.

Now, remember we have never been to Disney before so I have no idea where Sci-Fi is & where the parade route is.

What would be a good time to make a PS at Sci-Fi, where we can enjoy our shakes & still find a good place for the parade?

This is completely doable (is that a word?). Sci-Fi is on commissary lane at the end furthest from the hat. After shakes, walk away from the hat, toward Star Tours. Some people prefer standing across from Star Tours to view the parade. My favorite spot is in front of Sounds Dangerous in the shade (there are benches there if you can snag one). SD is just down the street from ST. MGM's parade is at 5 pm right now, don't know if they ever push it any later. In March it was at 4 pm. Plan your PS by that. Enjoy.
