Sci-fi or 50's prime time for lunch?

Which one would 3 adults enjoy along with my 7 year old ds and 2 year old dd?

I recommend 50's Prime Time.

With a party of 5, the car will be cramped at Sci Fi and conversation difficult. I worry that the movies might scare your little one.

The food is better at 50's, too.

We debated these 2 for 2A and 3 DD's 15, 13 and 6. Finally decided on 50's because my DD's didn't like Sci Fi's menu.

I've been to both and I have 2 children that age and we are going back to 50's also. Good food, good fun. Sci-Fi movies might be too much for the 2 year old.

Anytime I get a chance to say this on a thread I do it. I hate the 50s cafe. The food is poor and the schtick of mom making you finish and all that is very very annoying. I actually like the Sci-fi. Sure its over priced, but I find it a lot more fun than 50s.

But then I find chewing tin foil more fun.

And my son 2 year old liked it.

If you are willing to play along, then Prime Time is so much fun!! I think it is one of those places that everyone should try at least once. I am sure your 7yo would enjoy the antics there.

I agree with MJ. I've been to 50's more than once. I went back the second time because of all the hoopla I've read. I can't stand it. If you don't like to do anything at lunch but relax and eat, this is not the place for you. The humor of someone telling me to finish and eat my peas wears thin very quick with me.

Sci-fi is over-priced but well themed. You want a good place to eat? Try Mama Melrose's.

I really like the atmosphere of Sci-Fi which would be my choice. But if you choose 50's PTC get the peanut butter and jelly shake - it is awesome.

We always go to 50's PTC.Our DD is 3 and it is great because you dont have to worry about them making noise.Sci-Fi is over priced and the food isnt that great.And as has been mentioned the movies at SF might scare.Plus the reel isnt long enough and you probably will see the same thing more than once.

I AGREE ABOUT THE PB&J SHAKE! If you were to take a poll in our family, DH and I would pick 50's PT because the food is better. DS (10) loves Sci-Fi for the atmosphere! We end up going to both each year.
