Sci Fi/Oga's 8/17

Hi All,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

My fiancé and I are traveling to Disneyworld for a weeks vacation in August. We will be visiting Hollywood studios on 8/17. At the the top of our list for reservations was the sci fi dine in restaurant. I logged in when I was supposed to at 3am pacific last week to get a reservation but nothing popped up for sci fi or Ogas.

Any tips on how to get a reservation for Sci Fi? If we can't would we be waiting a long time doing a walk up in the evening?

We live in California so not too bummed if we miss out on Oga's but Sci Fi is still top of our list.

You will just have to keep trying. People cancel and rearrange things all the time. So check and double check. People have even had luck getting an ADR the day before.
Not sure about walk-ups and whether than can even accommodate them.

Bookmark the reservation pages and when ever you have a few free minutes, cycle thru to see what you can find. Walk ups are probably not happening at SciFi tho there’s no harm in trying that day. Like said above, the day before usually sees a lot of cancel activity.

I was trying to get Oga's when we visited HS in April and I kept checking all day. I had no luck with Oga's but several times throughout the day Sci-fi popped up with tables available.
Just keep checking every chance you get on the app. you could get lucky and snag one, especially the closer you get people are always cancelling.

Touring Plans has a free ADR finder: https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/reservation-finder

All you need is to create an account. It will email/text if it finds availability, then you have to jump on right away and see if you can get what it found. I was able to get an Oga's reservation when availability was added around 5:45am one morning.

Lots of oga ressies just added. There is availability for your dates. Jump on it

I do dining alerts with mouse dining. com. I had the same problem. A month later I got an alert text Sci Fi was available! I grabbed it. I was so happy.
The only thing I didn’t like about mouse dining is if you want text alerts it cost 9.00 a month. But you can cancel anytime.Emails are free, but I never get alerts for email and don’t check my email that much.
