Sci Fi...Nothing available!!

I just got off the phone booking our ADR's. There was nothing for June 20th at Sci Fi for lunch. I even asked to check for 2tables ...nope ...nada. I have never had a problem getting in before. What's the deal? Just glad everything is done.

I don't know what the deal is but people have been posting about having this problem for the past few days. There was speculation that it had to do with Star Wars Weekends but the days it isn't available are also week days.

Any chance that SciFi is going to be closed for renovations or something?

I get to make ADRs on Sunday and SciFi is on our list. I would like to know if I need to find another place or not.

I just called this morning for June 16th and nothing is available at lunch for that day either!!

We have never eaten there. I thought the kids would enjoy it. But, I did get Prime Time for lunch, though I think I might cancel it because I don't think my family would enjoy the teasing that they do.

I don't know why Star wars weekend would effect Sci Fri. Doesn't it end on the 15th? Wouldn't it be hard to get into Primetme as well?
Primetime is usually the one I have trouble getting. I have NEVER had a problem with Sci Fi.

I didn't think about it being closed for renovations although I did read about a few people that have gotten it so maybe not. I hope not. Anyway, I called today and had her check my entire 10 days (6/15-6/25) for any lunch time for 5 and she said NOTHING came up but 50's PT was an alternative the system offers.

Maybe they are closing for a refurb. Had a bad experience here last August, so they are off my list now. We just walked right in last August with no ADR and the place was nearly empty (lunch time).

We called Saturday and tried to get a dinner reservation for the seventeenth...no luck. After searching most of the week the CM found a dinner reservation for the eighteenth. She said that the week was was really booked.

I think it may have to do with party size requested. When I intially tried booking for a party of 5 on June 16th I was told nothing for lunch. Then when I asked for a party of 4 (my 3 kids always sit on one row together and my husband and I sit behind so we only take up seating for 4) the exact time I wanted was available (well 12:05 instead of noon). They must really limit the amount of tables available for parties over 4. Good luck to everyone!

I just came back and we were a party of 8. I called on fairly short notice, just a couple of weeks before the trip. They had one time open, 6:30pm, so we took it. When we got there, it was a madhouse! I've never ever seen so many people waiting to get in, or eating there. Maybe it's just gotten really, really popular? I was just shocked. Now that I'm seeing this, I'm wondering what's up!

After reading all of the 'no luck' reports I had wondered about a refurb as well but some are getting their reservations so it must truly just be that busy. Wow .... wonder if we'll have any luck at all Christmas week!

I called to make Adrs on Sunday. Had no trouble with anything but Sci-Fi. Tried for lunch and dinner on Tues June 16---nothing for a party of 6. (i believe the cars hold 6 people). Had to take an 8PM dinner on the 18th

I'm also looking for 5 but the cars seat 6 so I don't know why 4 would be better than 5? Would they put 4 in a car with a 2? I didn't know people had to share cars. Maybe next time I'll say there is 6 and see if that brings us any luck.

YEs, they put strangers in your car all of the time. We are a party of 2 and have been put with a party of 4 several times. (Always in the back seat)

I tried for Sci Fi on 6/14 or 6/16 for lunch first then anytime and nothing was available for a party of 2 or 3. There was a 2:30p on 6/21 and 2:30 6/11 but nothing earlier. I am thinking more will open at a later date.

When I was on the phone, the woman who was doing my reservations said Sci-Fi has become extremely popular, I didn't have her check dinner times because we only do our TS at lunch.

She said there were seperate tables available at Mama Melrose, we are a party of six. Would they actually sit us at seperate tables? Because I may call back and switch from Prime TIme to Mama Melrose?

I made my ADR's yesterday and got into Sci Fi at 11:10am. We always do the earliest seating if possible. The CM did pause for a second when I asked for Sci fi and said they'd been having problems with reservations for Sci Fi the last week or so.

It's weird the way popularity will ebb and flow for certain places. Sci Fi has always been fairly empty every time we've eaten there. I wonder what the sudden draw is.

Our party of five tried to get ressies for lunch any time on 6/13 or 6/14 and was told there was NOTHING available.

Maybe more will open up later. Back at 180 days we were all trying to get CRT and they weren't booking anything past 6pm. Something fishy is going on....
