Sci Fi not taking ressies??

So I have been trying to get a Sci Fi ressie for our Nov. trip. I have tried every day we are there, and then also random days in other months from Aug-Jan. It consistently tells me there are no openings any time at all during the day. I am not seeming to have this issue with any other place. Anyone know if someone is going on there, or maybe its just a glitch?

It's just uber-popular, and HS is seeing an attendance spike due to Star Wars attractions, so those factors together lead to limited availability. Try Touring Plans reservation finder to get a ressie when someone else cancels.

We got reservations for it in January. How many are you trying to get? If it is an odd number try using the next number up, sometimes the system has trouble placing odd numbers. I think we had to use 6 for our party of 5 to get our reservation at Sci Fi.

I am trying for 4 people. I just find it very odd that EVERY single date i have put in, there are no resizes available for either lunch or dinner, but there is availability at most others places. I not only tried dates during our stay, but many dates throughout the next few months and I keep getting the same message.

It's just that popular. I had a reservation for dinner and had to move days around to accommodate the Halloween party. I was able to move H&V, chef Mickey, but can't get sci fi for either HS days for lunch or dinner. I know they are still taking ADRs because I saw an 8:45 pop up, but that's too late for us. The thing is, last year H&V breakfast was the hard one to get, and now I can still get any time I want at 31 days out for that one. We did a walk up to sci fi for lunch 2 years ago- wow how things change.

I've been checking too. Made an original reservation at my 180 day mark, but now that I did fast passes I want to switch a day. Trying to change sci fi for a different day and it's impossible. I just keep trying.

I'd make a reservation at 50's prime time just to ensure you have something, then just keep checking. Lots of reservations tends to open up a few days before or within the 24 hour mark

I think it's just very popular, we got ours at the 180 day mark, but when I tried to modify times later on there was no wiggle room at all. Also worth noting HS is only listed as bein open until 7pm on a lot of dates in November, which will obviously limit the amount of spaces available.

I just checked for 9/13-17 and found 3 nights with availability. I think you just have to play with the times.

When in November are you looking for? I may be cancelling one for 4 adults.

Lots going on in November...Jersey Week, Thanksgiving, F&W, free dining for parts of the month....etc. I think the Wine and Dine marathon is in there somewhere, too.

Fall at WDW ain't what it used to be.

I booked my ADR for 2 way past my 180 mark for 1st/2nd week of November. I looked every day, many times a day, and one day it just popped up. Luckily having hopper tickets makes it easier becuase I'm planning which parks to go according to what day I get my ADR. Been trying to either switch days or make it little earlier, but I haven't seen anything else since I got my ADR. Keep on trying and hopefully someone will cancel as we get closer to November.

I had one at 180 days and then switched my hs day. I had no idea it would be hard to get. I go in about 5 weeks and had one pop up on reservation finder not long ago-so don't give up.

i just went to the WDW website and searched for an ADR on august 18th for 4 people for dinner.
at 9:10pm ADR came up.

did the same for september 18th.
an 8:10pm ADR came up.

this shows that in fact there are ADR's available but just not for your dates.

i suggest just continuing to check.

Just keep on trying... one might pop up. When I started booking for October I couldn't find anything at either HS or AK for weeks. About a month later I found both 50's Prime Time AND Tusker House became available.

You have to kind of figure that the Sci-Fi theme appeals strongly to the same people the Star Wars stuff appeals to.

We booked ours at 180 days for end of November. I agree with others to use Touring Plan's free reservation finder. I used it to find another reservation that we weren't able to book at our 180 days. Keep looking and I am sure you will find something.

I checked every day for two weeks and the other day managed to randomly snag a dinner for 3 in late August. Just takes luck, I think.

yep, I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting to see if something pops up during our HS day at the end of October. Hopefully something will closer to the day.
