We will be at HS the last week in April. Have an ADR for Sci-Fi at 11:30am. Would it be reasonable to try and make the 1pm showing of Indiana Jones? My son is really excited for this show, so I don't want to chance that we'll miss it. Trying to work showtimes into our plan has been challenging.

Depends on your family's eating habits.

Arrive at Sci-Fi by 11:15, or so.

As long as you are finished and out of Sci-Fi by 12:30-12:40, you should be able to find
seats somewhere at the Indy show.

Indy is not at all far from Sci-Fi.
(See the lower 3rd of my map, below.)

I just noticed that it looks like the show actually starts at 1:15, so that helps too. I'm more concerned with factors that I can't control...like is sci-fi normally slow with their service or fast? Would high lunch crowds potentially interfere? Hopefully we'll be able to make it because I'm having trouble trying to fit in Indy anywhere else.

1. Then, you're golden!
2. For lunch, its pretty quick. Arrive at Sci-Fi by 11:15, or so.
3. Meh.
4. Should be fine.

Enjoy!

Excellent! I'm glad to hear that. We should be able to arrive early no problem to Sci-Fi as well which could help.

I've been asking so many questions lately and everyone has been so helpful! I really appreciate it. I keep waiting for some message to appear on my screen like, "CeruleanMoon, you've exceeded your question quota for the week. Come back again later." :D

We had a similar scenario in November (week prior to thanksgiving). Lunch at 11:45 and hoped to make Indy at 1:15. We are fast eaters- no appetizers or desserts. However Sci Fi always takes awhile....we eat there every trip. After lunch we booked it to Indy, only to find a full theater and no seats left :( I hope you have better luck!!! Maybe ask for the bill early.

Oh no, that's a shame. Does FP help get you a spot at all (I'm guessing it doesn't.) I'll keep thinking on this.

One of our favorites, slowest glitch is not a surprise to wait past your time BUT you are one of the first seatings so I imagine you'll be fine there. My suggestion, look over the menu before you go and as soon as your server comes for your drink orders - go ahead and place your dining order. It really is a few minute walk from one to the other and the place is huge so I think as long as you arrive before the show starts you should be able to get in. I don't know the last time we went and the seats were 100% full but ... depends on when you go too.

We've had to wait up to 30 minutes to be seated at Sci Fi, with the exception of the time our ADR was at 11:00 when it opened. That time we were seated almost immediately.

The good thing is that once you're seated, service is usually pretty quick. Last trip was when we had the 11:00 ADR, and we walked into the 12:00 noon Indy at 12:02. It was standing room only, but we made it. It was a spontaneous thing that just worked out.

If your ADR is at 11:30 and the show is at 1:15, I think you'll probably be okay. Hopefully they won't be too backed up that early in the lunch schedule, and you'll be seated fairly quickly. I'd be there to check in right at 11:15. We made it in just over an hour, and you will have an hour and 45 minutes.
