I have a reservation at MGM for Sci-Fi during dinner hours. I have heard so much about the wonderful hamburgers they have there. I was looking at the menus and I don't see hamburgers on the dinner menu. Can I order a hamburger at dinner or do I need to switch my ADR to lunchtime???

I would eat there on the day I would be at MGM for lunch. It's a nice break with great atmosphere!

I haven't eaten there for dinner (I guess that doesn't help you at all does it?) But I have eaten there for lunch twice with my family and we love it! I is a nice break during the day, and the darkened restaurant is very relaxing. I always took the Drive In for a burger kind of place, so I couldn't imagine them not letting you have one for dinner.:confused3

if you go for lunch (and I think you should!!) think about splitting the burger & an appetizer!! plenty for 2 and the best burgers on property!!!

We ate at Sci-Fi during lunch. It was a great break and time to cool off a bit. You could even do it as a late lunch andit woudl take you through the evening and possibly night. THe portions are huge and can be shared.

We have the same problem. We eat there every trip for lunch but this time Holly & Vine character meal is a must do for us, so Sci Fi can only be fit in for dinner. I've read reports of people being able to get burgers for dinner, but it was a long time ago. I'm going to ask, it can't hurt, and keep my fingers crossed.

I've also been wondering what is available with DDP. I know we want the souvenir cups with glow cubes and I'm certain they're not on the DP. I don't mind paying OOP for them, but then do we lose our drink? Would a milkshake count as a drink? Or at least as a dessert?

We also have a dinner reservation at Sci-Fi. I've been going back and forth over switching it to lunch and asked dh and dd7 what they thought. They want to do Pizza Planet for lunch, so I guess we'll be keeping our dinner ADR at Sci-Fi as they are. I saw somewhere else that even though the burgers aren't on the dinner menu, you can aske for them and still get them regardless.

You bring up a good point. Lunch or Dinner at the Sci-Fi is a TS and for the price, it's the one meal we usually pay out of pocket for on the dining plan; It's simply not a good dollar value for a TS.

That being said, wonderful restaurant! :goodvibes

We love eating here too, the food is good and the atmosphere is great. When making our ADR's the rep even suggested paying OOP for dinner since it is one of the cheaper TS restaurants. That way we can use those meals for California Grill.

My teenage boys have gotten hamburgers during dinner hours several different times!!! :thumbsup2

This is exactly what DW and I are doing in Sept for our lunch here.. Splitting a burger and an app and paying oop... Not worth one of out TS credits since its not as expensive as other places, but the experience is really cool
