We're a family of 3. I've read that parties of 2-3 aren't seated in the cars as they're reserved for larger parties. We're going in the value seaon (Nov/Dec). Is it possible that they won't be too busy during this time of year and we shouldn't worry about it or is there a better time to go (2:00ish?) that will give us a better chance of getting a car? Also, feel free to add a dining review! Thanks!

We went during Spring Break 2005 and were a party of 3. We were seated in a car-we got the first 2 rows of the car. We did not ask to be seated in a car.

All but one time I've eaten at Sci Fi we were a party of 2 or 3 and always got a car . . . I didn't even know there were other tables. :) We always did eat later though (around 2) so that may have been why.

Hi,
We were a party of 3 last time and we got the first and second row of a car. Only two I believe can fit in the car rows. I personally wouldn't bother with it if I couldn't have a car. That is the fun of it!

My son and I were seated in the front row of a car during trip last year. (regular season) Our PS time was @ 12:00.

I've been to Sci Fi 3 times, twice with one other person and once solo. All 3 times I got the back seat of a car without asking. BTW, the one time I went solo, I was behind a party of 3 (it was a 3 row car), who I found out at the end of the meal were other DISers.

We've always been a party of 3 and got a car all three times for lunch.

Another party of three here--we've always had a car. Usually a two-row one to ourselves. Enjoy!

We're also a party of 3 and we always get a 2 row car to ourselves! It's fun. :sunny:

The info you read is wrong; the vast majority of seating is in cars and each seat in the car holds 2 (or 3 children). You do not usually know the others seated in your "car" while you dine and there is no reason why NOT to place parties of 2-3 in them.

Been there with parties of all sizes, most recently party of 2, and we've always been seated in the car.

I would make an ADR and request a car just in case. Last time we were there, we had a party of 7. When we made our ADR, they told us they would give us 2 cars. When we arrived, we were squeezed into 1 car. Myself, DH and DS had to fit into the front seat (and mind you we are not the smallest people). I was soo uncomfortable, and pretty stemmed that the waitress did not recognize how crowded we were or offer another car. Needless to say, we did not have an enjoyable experience. And did not like the waitress' attitude. She made us feel like we were inconviencing her if we asked for something! :furious:
