Checking for different places to eat and thought the Sci-Fi restaurant looked pretty neat to visit. Any comments or suggestions for here?

Atmosphere is great, milkshakes are decent, food is mediocre at best. Cars seat 6 people, there are 3 bench type seats that seat 2 people per bench. If you go as a smaller group, you will be seated in the cars with another party. If you are a group of 2, you most often get the last row in the car. Also, it's always pretty cold in this place.

Even with only so-so food, we almost always go here because we just love the cheezy atmosphere.

Sci-Fi is def a "neat" place to eat at esp. if you have kids! The food however, is a standard burger and fries, kinda place. The onion rings are very good as are the milkshakes. We have ADRs for there this Nov. Our plan however, is to take the kids there and let them have the expierence of eating in the cars "outside" and watching a drive in movie. We are going to let them eat, while us adults probably order a couple drinks and maybe an appetizer to share. Then were letting the older kids go there way, while us adults and three 2 year olds head over to Boma to eat dinner. Have fun though if you decide to go it's pretty cool!

It is a lot of fun if you expect serviceable food rather than anything really good. Go for the novelty of the place, not for the food. I've always found service incredibly slow in here but if you're enjoying the film clips that's OK.

Its one of my favorites. But its all abut the atmosphere, its a lot of fun. Food is decent, its good, but you go there for whats around you. Not the food.

Dont forget, you dont always have to book a restaurant for a meal. Just go for relaxing drinks, snack or appetizer to try it out and enjoy the fun and novelty of the theme.

it's a "must do" for us every trip - love the quiet, dark inside atmosphere, sitting in cars watching a movie screen - we always just get shakes, burgers, fries and onion rings - sometimes dessert, too - nice break from the sun

Just retuned last night and it was my 2nd highest best food restaurant on my list. 1) The Wave 2) Sci-Fi 3) breakfast @ 1900 4)Coral Reef 5)Cinderella's Royal Table 6) Tutto Itallia 7) 'Ohana 8) Tusker House.

I had the Beef and Blue Salad, the steak was tender and seasoned great and the blue cheese dressing was so good....we will be back!!

I had that same beef and bleu salad and was not impressed with it. I may have been expecting something other than commercial grade bleu cheese salad dressing, although no reason why I should have expected that.

The mushroom and swiss burger, however, I did like.

sci fi is awesome! it's a must do! they have great ribs, so is their ruben. great shakes and desserts, fun atmoshphere.

Just went there yesterday...ribs were great, asked for red skin potatoes instead of fries with it. Shakes were awesome! My mom had the pasta dish with the feta cheese- she said it was very good.

On a side note- we ate at Narcoossees on Friday and while always delicious, we felt we got better service at Sci-Fi than at Narcoossees. (This was a disappointment, the service at Narcoossees that is). We gave the guy at Sci-Fi a 25% tip and told him that we felt his service was much better than our evening at Narcoossees...he appreciated the compliment.

Sci-fi is a must do for us every trip!

We love it for the atmosphere but are never disappointed with the food. They took away my favorite chicken breast sandwich though. Now I get the burger and it's great!

It is really neat to eat here. But every since they changed there dinner menu we won't go back. If we went back it would only be or lunch.

We go here every trip. We LOVE this place! The atmosphere is a hoot and the food is delish. Our servers have been nice and I don't recall ever having waited longer than any other restaurant for the food. :thumbsup2

My DBF and I are eating there in a week and a half. The last time I ate there I was 12 (I'm turning 29 soon) so I'm excited to go back. Has anybody had the BLT soup? He's really looking forward to that.

Can someone please tell me about the outdoor dining? Would like to take the kids 5 & 9 here next month!! Thanks......

you've got to try sci-fi at least once, it's just such a unique experience. our food was pretty good too. spinach and artichoke dip was decent, husband has the pasta without shrimp and it was quite tasty as was my chicken sandwich. his chocolate shake was great. my vanilla shake was actually disappointing but the apple tart thing i had for dessert more than made up for it!

You are seated inside but the atmosphere is that of an outdoor drive-in movie. The tables are in cars. Have a great time! We'll be there in December
