SCI-FI...don't make same mistake

The Scifi Dine-In gets a lot of bad reviews, but it is the one restaurant we HAVE to go to when we go to Disney World. The food is okay, but it's the cars and the movie clips that make the experience. The clips are hilarious, at least to a couple of scifi geeks like me and my 9 year old son. We love it.

we love the sci-fi! the movies, the cars you sit in, the burgers & fries - everything! it's a "must do" TS every trip!

Kind of off-topic, but are there any plans to include new clips of old cheesy sci-fi movies? I love going there, but they've been showing the same clips since I've been in college (and that's longer than I care to admit!).

now i did not notice this past trip, the clips of many old scifi movies. very few. i was sort of dissapointed in that. when we went last time 3 yrs ago, i remembered lots of clips, but not this time.

i think they have the best burgers, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes, with the atmosphere. great place. we always put this on our list.

the waiter here also encouraged us to share a tb service meal, and even tried to get me something more than just a burger with the ddp. but this is exactly why we go there, not to split/share and to have a burger.

The food is the same as counter service stuff but alas it is a TS restaurant.

I disagree, Sci-Fi's food is very different from the food at CS places......

To the OP, sorry that you were caught off guard with this, but what on earth made you think that it was a CS place? :confused3

That's not 100% true. At the Pepper Market, I was seated and had a waiter. The entire menu was considered CS - even steak and potatos for lunch.

Actually, the cm's only bring drinks at the PM. At Sci-Fi, they bring you the whole meal. That's a big difference.

There are currently no eateries that are CS during one meal and TS during another -- it's either all CS or all TS. That may change this summer, but for now, it works.

:) Don't forget Donald's Breakfastosaurus! TS for breakfast, then CS the rest of the day. I've never done CS there...is it all McD's food and what do they have? Anyone? Now I need a new CS spot for September if our favorite, Tusker House, will be closed. :sad1:
