Sci Fi Diner??

The Sci-Fi was probably our favorite restaurant - the food was very good, and the atmosphere was simply amazing. The next time we go back to WDW that will be the first restaurant I will makes sure to get an ADR for. Like someone else has mentioned, you really need to at least try it one time.

I do have a question though. Do they ever change the movie clips, or do they play the same ones year after year?

They either open at 11:00 or 11:30 so you should be fine. There's not that many people yet who realize it's lunch time and will attempt to do a walk up (or they are like my in-laws and HAVE to eat exactly at noon).

Well, you aren't going to get your "own" car. The cars seat six so you will have two hitchhikers with you. Probably in the back seat. But each row of seats is two across so you won't even have to talk to your guests.

BTW - for anyone going to Sci Fi, if you have kids, it's always great fun to have them sit in the "drivers seat". THEY will be presented with the "speeding ticket" (the bill). My son was told he would have to go into the kitchen and wash dishes because he didn't have any money.

We don't normally eat that early either, but we're having dinner earlier than usual. With a 6pm ADR @ HBD, I thought we'd eat a light breakfast, & have an early lunch. Hopefully, we'll get a bit of a break between lunch & dinner.

Are the odds in our favor for getting the 1st 2 seats? I can't quite imagine what it's like, but the idea of spending a meal staring at the back of a stranger's head doesn't really appeal to me? :p

We have 2 teens that would be seated in front, if we get the 1st 2 seats. If given the "ticket", my DS would just turn around & say, "Here, this is for you." I would have loved to have seen the look on your DS's face, when they told him he had to wash dishes. :rotfl: One last question..... Can you see the clips equally well from each car seat?

we are eating here with the kids in october!!! I can't wait and I know the kids will have a blast:woohoo:

I have always enjoyed Sci-Fi. I've found it's been much harder to get walk-up seating since the advent of the DDP, but not always.

Hi all, we too are planning on going to the Sci-fi for dinner. I have found and looked at the menu on allears.net
I hope this is of help to you, my friend who is a avid WDW guest told me where to search for information. I love this site as well.

I ate here just over a week ago. I was a little nervous as I have read that the food isn't great. We got the pink car front and center (we had ADR"S). I thought this was VERY cool. My kids thought this was the best place we ate at next to any character meals. When I was checking in they said they had no room until 9.30pm and it was 12.noon!!!! This really surprised me. We had a great time and the kids want to go here again.
