My daughter insist we go to Sci Fi diner. Any thougts on it? :confused3
We have never eaten there before. I will have my grandchildren too. Their ages are 13 and 11. A girl and a boy. As far as atmosphere goes, I thouht it might be fun. How is their menu? :thanks: in advance.

Our entire family loves the SciFi -- mainly for the atmosphere. The food is just so-so. It's not bad, but it's not outstanding. The kids will like it though - great shakes and burgers.

I took my girls here (they were 13 and 4 at the time). Both loved it. The atmosphere is great, but its a little dark in there. They enjoyed sitting in the cars and watching the old movies on the big screen. Like others have stated, the food is just "ok" but I think most people go for atmosphere.
Here's some pics from our experience at Sci-Fi.

I think you will all like Sci- Fi. Your GC will really like it. The food is just standard but the atmosphere is great.

Thanks for sharing. The photos are great.

We really enjoy it there. Great burgers and shakes, as other posters have mentioned :)

The atmosphere is what makes it - ufortunately when we walked by 50's prime time we wished we had eaten there instead cause the atmosphere was so much cuter!!!!

With that said though - we got the burgers and they were good. :)

Moving from the Review Board to the Restaurant Board for more responses :thumbsup2

I am considering trying it this summer for lunch. It looks good.

We have gone to SciFi every trip and have never had a bad experience. Love the atmosphere and I think the food is pretty darn good (we are simple folk...burgers, fries, milkshakes...good). We've always had friendly, attentive servers. We look forward to it every time. I think you'll really enjoy it! :thumbsup2

Have fun!

We go for the atmosphere as well. It is a family favorite !

Great reviews.

We have reservations for dinner at Sci-Fi Diner. However, I'm a little worried about the seating. My hubby is a body builder and is a big guy. Based on the pictures on this board, the seats look a bit small.

anybody have any problems with the seating? Thanks!

We have an ADR to eat here in the next couple of weeks. I would like to know about the movies they show. Are the movies scary for kids? I have two kids 8 and 10.

The seats seemed to be like an average booth size...from what I remember it was just short "clips" and not really movies & not really scary.

We love Sci-Fi. We went on the free dining plan last year and DH, DS and I ordered steaks, which weren't bad. DS ate it all and he's picky, so he must have liked it. Great onion rings and milkshakes. The best part is that DS stayed in the front with me and DD was in the back with DH, so no fighting! Usually they bother each other in restaurants. The watched the movie clips and DS got a kick out of them, and were nice and quiet.

We loved the sci-fi dinner. Great atmosphere. Food was basic but nice enough. Great fun!!!
