Sci fi diner hard to book?

I'd posted last week about booking sci fi diner for my 7 kids.
The older 4 wouldn't let up and really wanted to do it.
After deciding to buy unlimited tickets I've decided I can leave the 3 youngest at the villa with family who are coming and just take the older ones to hollywood studios for a few hours and do the sci fi diner!

I thought booking a table for 6 would be straightforward!
But nothing is coming up on booking screen?
I think I got two days but I'd already got other bookings on those ones!
I went on at 11 to try for nov 1st but nothing??
Is it usually a hard booking to get??
The kids won't be happy

not hard, I've booked 2 nights for dinner (3 guests) next october. No issue with availability

ETA : didn't see you posted the date for nov 1st


ETA 2 : weird, there is availability for the 31st oct. and for lunch on nov. 1st, but not for dinner

if 3pm is not too odd a time, there is availability then. Not really dinner, not really lunch anymore, but it's available

I've managed to get 4pm on the 24th but wanted more towards end of holiday really!
I'll keep checking in case dates free up and will try tomorrow for the 2nd!
I wonder why it's so busy??

So I've tried again and can't get the 2nd November for dinner. Went online at 11am but nothing!

So thought I'd book late lunch for 3 ish!
What confused me is when I put for 6 people the latest time is 1.30
But if I up it to 8 I can get 2.50??
Why is that??
Surely if you can seat 8 at 2.50 you can also seat 6??

Just book it for 8 and turn up with six. They won't turn you away.

OK, that's interesting. I thought you could just walk in and eat there (we did in June 5 years ago!) Good luck - I hope you get a booking.

November is free dining for US travellers and has proved very busy for ADRs.

You can walk up @allwritemel but you might have a long wait
