Was thinking of booking this as I have one TS left to use. I love the look of it but with one drawback. How do you cope with odd party sizes ? There are three of us (all adults) and I don't fancy the idea of two in the front seat and one behind in a car - seems very anti-social. Is there other seating available ? Has anyone else coped with odd number parties ?

well, we're a party of 3 (2A, 1C) and we did fine. (DW and DS were in the front, and I was alone on the back seat)
as far as "social" goes, the restaurant is loud (it's a drive-in with a movie showing, and loudspeakers by your "window", so not much of a conversation going on. You watch the movie and eat, it's fun that way

Is there other seating available ?

there are very few "camping table" on the outer perimeter of the restaurant for those who can't sit in the cars/limos (disabled, high chairs, and so on) but availability is not guaranteed.
and, no matter what, you'll all be glued to the big screen, and struggle hard enough to find your food in the dark, so socializing is a lesser concern :)

for us it was a great experience. We were still able to share a little bit of "social life" during the meal (something along the lines of "could you give me the ketchup please" :p ) but this is definitely not a restaurant where you will be able to have a conversation with your fellow party members.
It's loud, it's dark, and there's a show going on onscreen.

I sit in the front with ds and dh behind us. Once we sat on the top row of cars, a car front with normal tables behind it. As chmurf said it's not A socialising place, dark with a film showing. Great burgers and milkshakes

I don't like it for exactly the reason you describe personally. Have sat at one of the tables too and didn't like that as it was so far away from the movie screen. Also it's CS food in a TS place IMO. I like the idea of it much more than the reality of it, but my kids enjoy it there......

Yes this:thumbsup2....its about the experience really not the food. We thought it was very average. I can understand the appeal for kids, but we didn't get much out of it and wouldn't do it again for a while.

we''ve sat at regular tables a number of times...

we do like the food - very good burgers (or in my case veggie burgers :) ) and very yummy milkshakes!!!

Thanks everyone, I'm still undecided !!!!!!! I may book via Napoli instead !!!! Not sure yet !

that's apples and elephants...

completely different...plus one is at epcot, the other at DHS....

you're probably better off using your credit at via napoli...
sci fi is better as an out of pocket restaurant since most things are pretty inexpensive and don't justify using a dining credit...

have you compared the menus?

here are the lunch and dinner menus for sci fi

and here is the dinner menu for via napoli

Yes,

Its our last day, we've got 'Keys to the Kingdom' in the morning and hadn't planned a dinner anywhere that night. Wasn't going to stay in MK so we're quite happy to hop to another park for a dinner. I think via Napoli is probably the one we'll go for - but then again, I may change my mind again lol
