Sci-fi Dine In?

We liked it in February and it is our lunch pick for our DHS day next March. The onion rings and rueben were great! DH got a turkey sandwich and said it was kind of blah so he's going with a burger next time. But my guys loved the car aspect of the meal. DD liked it but some of the movie clips scared her so her and I am going to sit in the back next time and color. But it is a solid lunch choice in my opinion.

Is it doable with a 2 year old? We might have trouble keeping her at one place for more than an hour, ideally less. Is it possible to move around a bit?

We love it...been going every year for the past 3 or so. I always get the Reuben, husband usually gets the Ribs. The cheesecake is good, as are the milkshakes. And I've never felt cheated using a TS meal credit for it....as a family of 7, the food cost adds up anywhere LOL

sometimes sci-fi gets bashed on the boards. most of them seemed to have stayed away. should they rise up en mass try to look past it. remember Abe Lincoln only got 39.8% of the popular vote.

DH and I have this place on our must do list.

We love the atmosphere and and I am a huge fan of the style of cars.

The adult milk shakes are really good :thumbsup2 as are the standard ones.

Food always good and we have always had good service.

Give it a try, We had a meal at one of the top rated places and it was one of the worst meals we have ever had. It is at the end of day all subjective on what you and the rest of your group would like.

We have enjoyed the food here for lunch and the atmosphere is fun- makes us wish that old drive inn movie would open back up again... we booked lunch again for our October trip, looking forward to another good time.
We tried the steak salad last time and it really hit the spot on a hot day.

We always go here for lunch. My oldest son (22) hasn't been on vacation with us for 4 years, since he started college. This summer he's going and the only request he had was that we eat at Sci-Fi. I think you'll love it.:goodvibes

We ate dinner here for the first time on our last trip. It was really good! I had the pasta and it was yummy. Can't remember what thw two dd ate or dh. I think he had the steak? The milkshakes were great!!! I think there would be some room for a two year old to get down. The only issue my be that it is one BIG dark room. The huge screen my keep them slightly entertained. They have some "cartoons".

We have an ADR for lunch here. We are on the FDDP and we will be paying for it out of pocket.

The atmosphere is unliike anything you've been to before..when they seat you they say they're going to "park you." Went for the 2nd time last month and got the "front deat" of a car....they talk abot the "hitch hikers" in the back seat....it's just fun.

Highly recommend trying it - stick with the burgers, fries & milkshakes and it's all good.

And where else can you see things like this while having lunch? :thumbsup2

Well, my DW and I will be trying Sci-fi for the 1st time for dinner during our Sept trip this year. It's on the free DDP so we thought we'd try it. I am trying to decide between the ribs and steak....:goodvibes

Last time we were in Disney I didn't make Sci Fi reservations because I thought it was time to try something else. Every time we walked by the place the kids gave me heck about it - so we ended up stopping by at an off time, I think around 2:30 or so, and asking if we could go in for milkshakes.

They had plenty of room then and they were happy to seat us. I think the waitress was happy just to have a paying table, even if we didn't order and tip for a full meal. I did tip about 30% though 'cause I felt kind of guilty and she was nice.

We love SciFi! I took my girls there last year and we had a blast. I shared ribs with my 12 year-old and I remember the kid's meal choices for my younger 2 being better than other places. This was the top restaurant request my 12 year-old had for our trip this year so we are going there for lunch on our first full day in August. Definitely give it a go!:thumbsup2

We had put off going to Sci Fi for years. I am soooo glad we finally went. I love the atmosphere! The onion rings, milkshakes, burgers, and ribs were all delicious.

It is definitely worth a try! :thumbsup2
