Sci Fi Dine In Question!

This doesn't really answer the OP but anyway LOL.....

It's funny and tricky to decide on what new places to eat every time we go to WDW. To a certain extent, you do want to listen and follow what the masses on all the Disney sites say about the places. Often though, we found that in certain instances we ended up REALLY enjoying a place such as the Sci-Fi Drive In by going in with the right expectations. The atmosphere and overall experience was full of air conditioning, lots of 'darkness', and a great waiter! The sandwiches we had were totally fine for us and I plan on eating there again this summer if possible!

And if not, do I have to specifically request that if I want it? My girlfriend and I are very attached to that idea. I made the ADR online and I don't remember it prompting me about seating. Should I call?

Most of the cars are set up with 3 rows of seats. Each row seats 2 (3 if they are small). They will sit a party of 2 as "hitch hikers" in the back seat. There is no need to call. (I hope this makes sense). Surf the disboards for pictures or look on the dining reservation website and they have a small picture that may give you an idea.

It is a wonderful dining experience, dark, fun and the quietest restraunt in all of Disney. Sci-Fi is the one restraunt that my family request every time we go to Disney and like everyone else before me has said, the burgers, onion rings, shakes, shrimp pasta, rueben and shakes have always been delicious.

You will love it!

OT and I'm sorry. We've eaten here before and loved the food. The milk shakes were the best. But, when we went, we were seated at a table. I was wondering how small the booths were. Anybody have experience with this?

I am not a milkshake lover but the milkshake here was amazing! The burgers are very good and the fries are always hot and crispy. I had a burger at dinnertime last year and there was no problem getting it. The food isn't brilliant but it's always good and the atmosphere is what this place is about.

My only gripe with the place is the A/C that seems to be set to Arctic - take a sweater

How many were in your party? A table would be a real let-down! Everyone goes to sit in the cars!!

We were there in May at 5:50 and DH ordered a cheeseburger and a milkshake. And they were delicious if I might say so.

And don't forget to order those onion rings. They are delighful!

Cheeseburger, Milkshake, Fries and Onion Rings sound like exactly what I would order, perfect!

Now I just need to see about those seats, I really want to be in a car.
