Sci-fi car booths

Quick question for those who have eaten at the Sci-Fi. Can you fit 2 adults and 1 child (age 2) in the front (or back) of the car booths? I hate to split up with just one person eating by themselves (and no way to talk with the other person). Thanks.

It might be a little tight but if you are smaller people it's doable. I believe you can always get a side chair.

I actually did this in May. It was me, my DS4 and my brother.

I'd say the seating was o.k., but when the food came the counter space was very tight. My DS did have his own meal, so if you're 2yo is eating off your plate, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and are doing Sci-Fi again on my son's 5th birthday in August.

You can see from the pic the amount of space in the car. The unoccupied space was where my brother was. Maybe they have a highchair or something for the 2yo which would obviously make more room.

Thanks for the replies. We aren't big people and our 2 year old will be eating off our plates (so hopefully it will be ok). Thanks for the picture (I was wondering what the cars looked like).

I'm assuming that it's pretty difficult to hold a conversation? We have this booked for lunch on our upcoming trip.

It did not seem difficult to hold a conversations between seats. The front and back seats are close enough to one another that you can hear one another - the front people just have to turn their heads back to chat.

When I have been there it has been very quiet - people are watching the movie, not conversing.

From what I've read, they also have table-cars which have the front and the back of cars, but a table in the middle. Someone else may have more information.

We're a party of 3 and one of the things that has always given me pause about eating at Sci-Fi is where we would be seated. I think I'd opt for the hybrid car/table.

As I recall there are not many table/car seats and I think they are mostly used for guests in wheelchairs and their families.

I've never been with 3 people but have been with 5. My dh is always more than happy to sit in the back and enjoy his meal without having to worry about the conversation (which there isn't much of anyway). I would think 3children would fit ok in the seat but I don't think I would want 2 adults and a child. The "table" in those cars are rather small.
