Sci-Fi Booked, Walk-In Possible?

Every day we're going to be at HS, the Sci-Fi is booked, so I replaced it with an ADR for 50's Prime Time. What are the odds that someone cancels their reservation one of the days I'm there and they could take us as a walk-in? Should I stop by the restaraunt when they open and see if they have a spot, or do you think I'd be wasting my time? I'll probably ask no matter what, but I'm just wondering what my odds are of getting in since I know DS7 would love it.

Oh my son and i love sci fi!!!! So much fun. The last time we were there, as we waited to be seated, we saw many walk ups being turned away. But that doesnt mean its like that all the time. Ppl cancel ressies all the time, and ressies pop up all the time online. Check online several times a day, im sure you will get something. I got many hard-to-get ressies this way, just by being persistent. If you still get nothing and you arrived at disney, check with concierge daily as well. And call daily yourself if you want. if all else fails, definitely go to the restaurant as soon as they open. Last but final attempt, try a walk up.

50's is also a great place, kids enjoy waiters scolding their parents about their table manners. The food is pretty good too!

Do you want lunch or dinner? That happened to us once too, and so we showed up at Sci Fi at 11:00am when they opened, and we were seated within 5 minutes--- in a car too! You probably won't get a car if you walk up, but they'll probably be able to seat you in a UFO. (Oh, I love Disney. Where else can you talk about sitting in a UFO?)

No matter where you sit you will have fun. But I would personally BEG for a car as much as you can.

You just never know. I would keep checking daily before you leave. On the day your looking for call while in your room in the morning before you leave. Then if still nothing that day head staight there and ask. We once had something happen and canceled our LeCellier for a party of 12 the day we were suppose to go. So someone lucky people lucked out there. You just never know. Plus if you have the app on your phone you can check that way thru out the day. Good Luck!

I find Sci-Fi to be one of the tougher walk-ins in DHS. Although if you're willing to sit at a picnic table you might get lucky.
