Sci-Fi at 5--can we make it to Fantasmic at 7?

Have Sci-Fi ADRs at 5 p.m. and Fantasmic is at 7 p.m. (one show only in December). Is that enough time to eat and get a decent seat at Fantasmic? There's two hours between 5 and 7. I figure we eat for about an hour or hopefully less (hope service is not slow) and try to save a seat for the next hour.

When in December is it? If it is a slow day at the parks, then you should be fine. If it's on a weekend or anytime after about Dec. 20th, then that may be cutting it too close.

It takes a good 10 minutes to walk from Sci-Fi all the way into the Fantasmic! theater (especially after a good meal.) The locations are about as far apart as you can get in MGM.

Just to be safe, you should show up 30 minutes or more BEFORE your ADR (you'll likely be seated early if you do).

A further "precaution" would be to send someone (who finishes a meal a bit sooner) ahead to hold some seats for the rest of you. (Seat-saving is "standard procedure" at Fantasmic!).
But do this ONLY if you'll have a cell-phone or walkie-talkie between you so you can meet-up at the seats.

Even flaming RED HAIR is tough to spot in a sea of 10,000 guests!

Chances are you'll have no problems... but its good to be prepared!

Thanks for the tips, Robo. And how dare you call my hair flaming red! I would like to think of it as mellowed into a nice auburn.

I think you'll be cutting it close but it may be doable.. I love red hair always wanted red hair but I have a natural tan so it just wouldnt look right! lol

I've been to Sci Fi several times and unless we order a second round of drinks, we are done with our meal in 45 minutes. Your plans are definitely doable.
