I called for ADR at Sci-Fi and they had 6:05PM for 2 sets of 2 in the cars. We are a party of 4--Mom and 3 kids. I took it. If I check in early, will they seat us together--esp. since 3 are kids (oldest is 11--we could do this, if we had to----but, obviously, there are 2 other parties of 2 in the 2 cars we have). Can't they just put those 2 parties of 2 together and then let us have a car? What are my chances? I figured a Sci-Fi ADR (end of June) was better than being turned away.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Each car seats 6 people (3 rows for 2 people). They usually seat parties of 4 in the first and second seats and parties of 2 in the third seats. I'm taking it that they had no more availability for parties of 4 and only had parties of 2 (third seat in cars) available?

I would keep calling. Sitting in the 3rd seat for younger kids is going to make it difficult to see over the adults that will probably be sitting in the 2nd seat. That on top of not being seated together, might not make for a pleasant dining experience for your family.

that is good to know----maybe I will ask earlier in the day at Sci-fi if they can seat us together and if they say no--do CS instead that night--thanks. Elaine

In the past we have had to have split reservations like this at several places. When we check in we simply tell them our name and a party of 4 or 6. We always somehow get to sit together we do not get split up. Maybe this will work for you too:goodvibes
