Does anyone order food from them? The prices look reasonable.

Yes, for over 20 years. Their frozen vegetables are the BEST ever. If you like asparagus, you will LOVE their frozen asparagus. Of course their ice cream can't be beat either. We love Schwan's. We also like their frozen chicken breasts. They have mini-donuts, like you get at a fair, now too. Very yummy.

It is also a total American success story so that is nice too. The company started out as a dairy/lunch counter place in a small town in MN and grew into a multi-BILLION dollar international company. They are still headquartered in that small town too. It is also still family owned.

We order from them every two weeks. We like the mini pancakes, frozen pretzels, herb and cheese biscuits, chicken breasts, mini pepperoni and supreme deep dish pizzas and of course their ice cream. The sugar free fudgsicles are wonderful and you can't tell that they are sugar free. I find most of their prices very reasonable and the quality excellent.

Not good pricing for a large family, but for just DW,DS and I it is great. The quality is top notch to boot.

The pricing is allitle high but we find that the portions we buy don't go to waste at all and everyone gets there fill..

Oh my yummy! Yes, we love Schwan's! I have always found the quality to be excellent, which makes it a good value to us. I suggest reading the reviews of the foods on their website. That always helps me when I'm thinking of ordering something new.

Let me add that this week we tried the Spicy Chicken Breasts and they are amazing! To me, they taste just like Wendy's with fewer calories. :)

I have noticed their quality has gone down hill lately. A new guy was assigned to my route that I absolutely don't like. He was the route guy at my old house and was the reason I quit buying. I liked the route guy at my new house but he got promoted to manager, and I got the route guy I didn't like. My ordering has slacked off lately. I noticed their sugar snap peas were from china the last time ordered them. I try not to buy chinese products. I used to work for Schwans about 15 years ago.

I love them.
My grandparents did when I was a little kid so the ice cream always bring me back...and that is the only reason why I have to have the ice cream..sentimental reasons:rotfl:

We buy every 2 weeks! Something’s are hit or miss, but their veggies are good.

I like it for the convenience factor. It is a better nutritional and flavor choice that fast food on nights when I need a quick dinner.

Their meats and seafood are pricey, but they are high quality. I will splurge on them once and a while. They have a line of “Live Smart” products that I like to buy. Lots of frozen meals have super high fat / salt content, but these don’t.

I see their trucks every once in awhile, but have never known anyone who ordered from them.
I just checked out the website and they are way more expensive than our local grocery stores.

No way could I afford to use them for my grocery shopping.

I also noticed that their "serves x people" is a complete joke.
I know you can never trust the number of servings on food packaging, but theirs seems to be even sillier.
A 13" pizza serves 8 people?
A 56oz carton of ice cream serves 14 people?
Really?

We ordered from them once or twice and then couldn't get rid of them. The driver would knock on our door every two weeks or so, peddling food. It was a total turn off, especially since I thought the portions were not realistic. Now we do a lot of our grocery shopping through marketday.com

Been customers for 12 years. Overall love them. Ice Cream, of course, is their signature product, but the veggies are great.
Yes, not the cheapest option, but they do have products not available anywhere else.
Walmart is still my grocery story, but I still manage to find $30 to $40 worth of stuff every 2 weeks to buy from Schwans.

I have liked a lot of the their stuff, especially the of the pizzas (which you might be able to find in your grocery store under the name Freschetta), the boneless chicken wingz, and the ice cream.

We don't buy anymore because we don't see our delivery person on a regular basis. Apparently he only shows up if we order online. We've also been frustrated with the fact that our driver had changed several times when we actively ordered.

Also, the prices really aren't all that great.

We used to order from them when the kids were babies. Only thing is their meats are REALLY salty, they have to be since they are frozen. Overall, the deserts, which are really good, were what we whittled it down to before we stopped ordering completely. Then as a PP said, we couldn't shake them. Our first guy was nice about it, then they put a new driver on our route and just b/c we ordered before he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Eventually though he gave up once we called the office and told them basically, we don't want to place an order...ever.

We used them for a few years, then we had a fire and we weren't living at home (we had a rental for 6 months), they didn't offer to come to the rental (altho it was maybe 5 min. away) and it took them a while to stop by again after we moved back. I haven't had a truck stop by for a long time now either, I do miss some of the food items, the popcorn chicken is really good and some of the breads (and of course ice creams) are really good but I have to watch my sodium intake so a lot of the pre-made stuff I couldn't eat. It wasn't super budget friendly but it wasn't outrageous either, if they came back I'd probably get some popcorn chicken and cheese stuffed bread but that's about it. :) Oh they had some chicken cordon bleu that everyone loved...I would definitely get that again. :)

I have liked a lot of the their stuff, especially the of the pizzas (which you might be able to find in your grocery store under the name Freschetta)

Interesting.
The supreme pizza on the website is $8
The same pizza at the grocery store is $5 or $6 and is often on sale for as low as $4.

Actually a lot...
We purchase bomb pops ( They are the real ones)
The 3 pack fresh bread, I buy I think 4 packs a month so 12 loaves. love it!

My 16 year old is obsessed with the french fries. i got the crunchie fires( same as KFC)
the quick bake fries, The spicey curly fries.

The veggies as previously stated are great!

There used to be a turkey breast that my kids loved it was a holiday item that they discontinued. I am still mad about that! Also the chicken teriaki express bowls are grest for work.

I certainly don't think they are cheap. in fact they are kind of expensive.:teacher:

We also like the rotisserie chicken drumsticks and the garlic mashed potatoes (but you have to make them with milk, not water as the directions state). They are great to have on hand if you need a last minute dinner idea.
