Schula's or Kimonos?

I know it is kind of like choosing between apples and oranges, but since we are not on the dining plan and I have read great things about both of these restaurants I have decided to try and pick from these two on our Epcot day.

I'd say Sushi and Steak are our two favorite food categories so it is hard to think we would go wrong with either, but which one is better and a better value in your experience?

Shulas is outstanding.

Shula's is a must do for us every trip. We've never been to Kimonos because we're not real big sushi fans but I hear great things about it.

I've never been to Shula's but I have been to Kimonos.

The sushi is very good even if the prices are a little high for what I'm used to. We went on a Saturday and Karaoke was happening which we were fine with but if that isn't your cup of tea I would check to see if that is going on. Also and this may have just been my experience but I would watch the sushi chefs to make sure you get fresh sushi.

My roll was delayed from everyone else at the table including DBF who got cooked chicken by about three mins only for me to see the server get a plate from the chefs that was wrapped in saran and was made god knows when and she tried to pass it off as fresh. (Yes I complained especially after she refused to continue serving our table when I asked her why that happened)

Looks like Shulas is a good choice. I know that Kimonos had good reviews and seems to be popular but I just wonder if it is going to be a *wow* kind of experience. I was originally looking at Le Cellier but since the reviews seem pretty mixed I was getting kind of nervous about that choice.

If your looking for a wow experience I wouldn't say that Kimonos is the place. Even if my curfuffle hadn't happened the atmosphere is just nice where as you can get just as good sushi at Cali Grill and have AMAZING views

Ok Shula's it is! I guess I might need to find a way to fit California Grille in there now too...
