SCHOOLS OUT!!! May 23, 2010 Wonder Cruise

Thanks MissAllen! The Sea Bands, are those the bracelets? if not, where could I find them?

And yes,I do believe we are supposed to meet at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge.
Just hope I am able to find it LOL

Thanks for the info,And if you could let me know a place that sells those and what they are,I would so appreciate it!
Thanks again!

do they sell seabands or any other seasick/motion sick meds over the counter or do u need to have a prescription?

hchick,,,I was told that you can buy sea sick pills over the counter, for kids and adults,,just as your local pharmacists and I am sure they can show you,,,I got Patches from my doctor, and will try and find that sea band thing, just because I would rather use something none drug related,,,hope I can find the bracelets!!

For the Dramamine and Bonine (non-drowsy Dramamine) - they are OTC (over the counter) medications, but sometimes are kept behind the counter so you need to ask for them. DW got a prescription for scopolamine patches. She tried at home first and they made her dizzy, so she got Bonine tablets instead. She hasn't tried them yet, but it's a good idea to try at home to see how you react. You don't want unpleasant side effects while at sea.

She also got bands from CVS drug store. They should be out there right with the Dramamine.

Don't underestimate the power of ginger capsules. Gingersnap cookies are ALWAYS in the car with us and help DW out a lot. And of course, ginger ale. Hmmm, is that at the soda station?

Hmmm... It seems that everyone else is getting their luggage tags and trip info from Disney. We booked with a travel agent, so I guess our stuff went directly to the TA. Wonder how fast the turn around back to us will be?

johnpa,
i've read on plenty of the threads on here that there is ginger ale on board the ship, so we're good!

Thanks. I'm SO lazy, I should've looked for the info myself. :guilty:

NOT MANY DAYS LEFT TO JOIN THE Fish Extender Exchange!

PM me if your name isn't on the spreadsheet and you want to participate.

LAST SIGNUP DAY IS MAY 7TH !

31 Days left, pretty much 30 now though, since its not to far till midnight LOL Can't believe how excited I am! Still have to finish my FE! I borrowed a sewing machine, and,it broke! NO MY FAULT! It was broke when I got it! So,going to my gram's to finish it up on Saturday, takes waaaaaaay to long to do it by hand!
see you all soon!
And thanks for the info on the sea bands, and I think I may try out my patches here at home before we go as well, just in case! That is a great tip!

Got my documents!!!!

Do you think we have to bring this document booklet along to the cruise?

i have already printed out the signature sheets when i registered online.

I am just hoping for one less thing to carry...

chrissyd1,I read in the booklet, that you should bring it with you, along with any documents you have at home as well,I printed all my things, and folded them and put them inside the folder part that the luggage tags are in,,so everything is in one spot, and it is small enough to fit in my carry on bag!

Count us in on the exchange. There are 4 of us. Myself, mother, son -9 and daughter 5. No allergies. My son is concern there won't be any other's his age. I havent' seen any others listed on the other post or the exchange list but I'm sure he'll find a friend to hang with. Has anyone tried ordering SAFE SEA. It's a product mentioned on other threads that repels the sting of sea lice, small jelly fish and the like. I've ordered, been billed, but no product. Their website doesn't list a phone. The only contact is through email, which they have failed to reply to. I've contacted every local dive shop and they neither sell or have heard of it. Yes, I know I live in a land lock state but there actually are quite a few dive shops due to the large amount of lakes.:goodvibes

Thanks for the info on the PM. :thumbsup2 I sent at least five and couldn't figure out why the FE list never changed. Guess I should read the rules on the board but that seems like cheating.

Hi OkieMB. Added you to the FE List, still need stateroom number so you can get all the goodies! :yay:

I ordered two bottles of Safe Sea and have confirmation of shipping. Just checked and USPS has record of it in transit. I just checked their website and "Live Chat" goes to "Contact" page which is just as you stated, email only. (Well, there's an address, but that's not much help.) Hope you get it resolved.

I was wondering,I read up about that Sea Safe, and was thinking about ordering it,when I thought,is it really worth it?
I know a lot of people who have done cruises before, and never even heard of it,and never had a problem,,,so I am not sure, has anyone used it before, and had it work? I know the chances of getting stung by a jelly are very rare, and yes,who wants to take that risk if you can stop it,but,I don't know....this is our first cruise,we lived in Fl. for a few years, and went to the gulf almost daily, and never once had any problems,is this something that is a problem in the Caribbean area,or just a precaution?

Thanks for any info!

Also, got some sea bands,so,I think the sea sick thing will be under control,if it happens! So thanks for that info as well!

Think I will keep watch on that as well....But,I am going to wing it and not buy that stuff,Think I will be fine without it,I think enough people have not heard of it,one of them being my cousin who teaches scuba diving and holds world records for free diving,he said he never heard of it before,so I can't imagine that it is really even needed, most likely it is a product that someone came up with, and as it may work,it is also not very likely to come across those things,I would defiantly think that Disney takes every precaution to keep the cruisers safe from those, and keeps the island very clean and well maintained,so I am not very worried,as I said,we lived at the beach practically, for 3 years, and never had any issues! So,I am just going to take my chances LOL

Oh and,27 days!!!

OkieMB:

Just got my Safe Sea. AND here's a number that was on the invoice. Not sure if it will help you though. 727-448-9114 Haven't tried the number, but it's a start.

Thanks John for the number. I'll try it tomrw and let you know. Cabin 2610 for the FE. Sorry for the delay in info. I wasn't aware my PM's weren't getting to you.

New to the boards. We will be going on the May 23rd Wonder. Celebrating our 18 year anniversary. Interested in doing the fish extenders.
