3rd grade was the 50 states song, and I remember 5th grade was putting them all on the map with their capitals.

I didn't get to do anything fun like that. I got to make a periodic table element ornament last year....Ca for me![]()
I learned the Canadian provinces/territories before I learned the US states. Since my mum is from Canada and I lived there from when I was 2 until I was 7, I didn't learn the US states until third grade. I learned the provinces when I was 5. Granted, there's only 13 as opposed to 50.

Cool! They don't teach them here at all in Virginia. Actually, it was pretty fun last year because my teacher asked the class how many states Canada had, as a joke because she's from Canada. Nobody knew that Canada had PROVINCES not states.I learned the Canadian provinces/territories last year.
