schools here posting was a thing of the past (post war)

And we also made little state floats in 5th grade out of shoeboxes and remote control cars. We drove them around the school. :goodvibes I got Maine.

I didn't get to do anything fun like that. I got to make a periodic table element ornament last year....Ca for me :goodvibes

I learned the Canadian provinces/territories before I learned the US states. Since my mum is from Canada and I lived there from when I was 2 until I was 7, I didn't learn the US states until third grade. I learned the provinces when I was 5. Granted, there's only 13 as opposed to 50.

Cool! They don't teach them here at all in Virginia. Actually, it was pretty fun last year because my teacher asked the class how many states Canada had, as a joke because she's from Canada. Nobody knew that Canada had PROVINCES not states. :lmao:

Yeah, it's a useful skill.

I've never learned anything about Canada at school. Nothing. I've learned about North Carolina, the USA, Europe, South America, Africa, Austrailia, and Asia. Nothing about Canada or Mexico.
