School Trip Cancellations

I'm making plans for a road trip with my bf this summer(Six Flags is 3 hours away).Nothing is stopping this trip(since this is the 2nd try we are making)

Public schools actually sponsor trips to WDW? Wow, no wonder our educational systems need to be repaired from the ground up!

I don't know about other school districts but ours does not pay for the trip. The School Board has not given a dime for our softball team to travel to WDW during our spring break. All the funds are raised by the kids and booster clubs. The Board of Education does have to approve each trip and has the authority to cancel any trip because of the concern for the safety of the kids.

I have to be at the airport in 4 hours for a trip to Finland and Russia I am taking with school. My district is still allowing trips currently, but they are regularly evaluating that policy.

It is inevitable that we will be hearing about more schools cancelling all domestic trips.

i think this is so unofrtunate. we definately noticed a smaller amount of tourists here in dc last year. please come!!! we need tourism to help support our local economy. i work 2 blocks from the white house 5 days a week and so far i am still here.

The kids (or most likely their parents) pay for the trips here...not the school board.
